Richard Dawkins on the possible “gay gene”

Totally genetic.

I was a homo in the making at the age of 2.

I can even trace the line of it in our family.

I have little doubt that it's genetic, the question is why is there a "gay" gene? Was it brought about by a need? To simplify it is said that fish grew legs and left water(s) and migrated to land, why did this come about? Was the pond shrinking? Were there too many fish in the pond and some have to leave? Was it just more of going from simple to complex? Was it passed to primates from the presumed common ancestor that it is theorized that all primates came from?

Before there was sodomy -which includes straight sex- and a classical form that as now seen as pure homoseksuality is more accurately described as ephebophilia

Why a combination of molecules (TGCA) that supposedly works through an enormous amount of recursion to code for us, would somehow one dimensionally predict a contemporary political idea we have had for a few decades in 2024 rather than impacting the billions of years before it, seems rather unscientific.

We could talk about what to call any form of same sex attraction but in human history there has always been some form of sex between people of the same gender. In recent history it was acceptable for old or middle-aged men to marry an adolescent girl because she was easier on the eye and could have many children while working hard. Yes in Greece and Rome in ancient time boys were used in the same fashion.
Today people are pigeonholed into making whatever type of sex they have (or have dabbled in) as an identity. Did you ever suck a friend... ever do mutual hand jobs? Then you are gay, but if you also messed with the xx crowd you're bi. Then you have gay or homosexuals that couldn't screw a female because women just don't light their sparklers. I believe that due to social constraint and laws many have suppressed sexual desires and urges.

Biologically it is obvious that sex has a purpose, making offspring. As humans we don't have mating seasons, we like to get off just about daily in our prime. Most men that we call straight will take refuge in a cute twink if that's all that's available in the foreseeable future (as in doing time or being in a place with no access to females) but a truly gay guy will not function well if trapped among a bunch of females.

I see it as nature rather than nurture that places a male in a spot where only those of the same gender light their fire.

From the time that I wa self-aware, all I desired was the comfort, security and physical presence of a man.

And that is not because I lacked this in my own family structure.

I was mesmerized by maleness and beauty. I declared that I wanted to be a dress designer at the age of 4.

And was fascinated by why men couldn't marry men from the same age.
