Rick Perry not to run again as Texas Governor. The words "GET THE FUCK OUT!" come to mind.

Please run for POTUS again Mr Perry, another shit-show like the last time will keep me entertained for weeks until you quit again.

Oh this. Totally this.

Listen, you and me both, because omg! I love Texas, this my home here! But this state is literally ran by mice who've not just been let loose in the cheese factory. No, Texas is a case where the mice have been put in charge over the day to day operations of the cheese factory.

Not fair! I like these mice.
There is a Borowitz report out today. Pretty good if you ask me. Just ask me! It's pretty good.

Rick Perry: “Time to Pass Mantle to New Generation of Boneheads”
Posted by Andy Borowitz

SAN ANTONIO (The Borowitz Report)—Texas Gov. Rick Perry announced yesterday that he would not seek reëlection, telling supporters, “The time has come to pass the mantle of leadership to a new generation of boneheads.”

“I’ve had a good run,” he said. “But after twelve years, someone else who isn’t playing with a full deck should take a turn at the wheel.”

Reflecting on his twelve years as governor, Mr. Perry said that he had “no regrets” except for being incoherent the entire time.

Oh, yeah, I'm Native Born, Native Bred.

Believe me, I'm watching Curley - word on the street is that Greg Abbott, our attorney general here in Texas wants it if Trick ever gave it up. Trick has, now all eyes are on Greg Abbott to see what he does.

Who I'd like to see as governor...

Wendy Davis (D - Fort Worth) - the state representative who championed against and successfully filibustered the recent anti-abortion bill that was supposed to sail through the state legislature. She, I know, wants it.

Annise Parker (D) - the openly lesbian current sitting mayor of Houston. I actually think she'd be a great Governor. But does she want it? Probably not. Word on the street is that she's happy as mayor in Houston.

The only thing I've heard of Parker is she is a lesbian mayor of Houston. Hopefully Wendy Davis might be a reincarnation of Ann Richards, altho that would be very very hard to do. I'm hoping she will come out as such!

OMFG, I miss Ann Richards!!! She was friggin' awesome!!!

I would have gone straight for Ann Richards,

So long Pretty Ricky...I agree with Bill Clinton when he said you're a Good-looking man, but you're a total Fuck-up...LOL...

And like all failed dictators, Perry wants to leave Texas using a scorched earth policy.

Destroy freedom of choice, environmental protections, workplace safety and freedom of religion.

Will be be a Fox News commentator?

I suspect Perry embarrassed the Pub PTB with his drunken (although admittedly amusing) exploits in the last campaign. Not to mention that whole secessionist crap that made him look a fool - among other things.

Anyway the Texas Governor has just enough power to whack off in the shower if he asks nicely. There will be no shift in Texas politics until you break the system that's rigged in the first place.

We have a local boy, country singer, who sings the praises of Texas and keeping it clean. I'll see if I can find a copy of it. It's a commercial for Texas parks and wildlife. I'll post it on that music thread that's been going on for since forever if I can find it.

Well, Hell. Why put it in the music thread? It'll fit right here. It wasn't that hard to find. Thank you Google.

Kevin Fowler "Take Care of Texas" PSA

This guy is the funniest. He writes just about all of his songs and they all carry a funny theme to them. Check him out when you view this PSA.
Also, Perry is doing everything he can to pollute the water and air in Texas. I'm hoping Kevin can change this.

Too bad his likely replacement is jsut as bad,if not worse.
