And perfect. He can use his daughter's illness as a kind of 'No Loser' bulletproofing that has everyone wiping a tear from their eye as he exits the stage and leaves him looking like the perfect family man and not the ugly, mean spirited demagogue that he actually is.

Unfortunately she won't get better. She has Trisomy 18, also known as Edwards Syndrome. She was (un)lucky to even be carried to term. Her short life will be one of constant pain and suffering and all blame should be laid squarely at the feet of her loony parents and their belief that a woman must carry as many children as her husband chooses to inflict on her until the day she reaches menopause or dies from the damage to her body.

Unsurprisingly, her mother was 48 fucking years old when she had the poor child. As any person with even a slight knowledge of human genetics knows, every year after age 35, the chances of a woman having a child with genetic defects, especially the various trisomy disorders, increases exponentially.

But as is always the case with religious nut jobs, any suffering, especially of innocents, can be justified if it is inflicted in the course of supplicating yourself to your imaginary friend in the sky.

There are no words that can adequately describe the contempt I feel for the Santorum couple.

^ Harsh but true. Santorum is the epitome of the religiously blind, who ignores science for his God. Unfortunately his poor young daughter bears the cost of that selfish ignorance.
 
It's better now that he can spend more time with his daughter and keep any menacing evil socialized healthcare workers away from her. I'm sure he can afford to pay for only the best for her.
 
Recently, I don't think there was ever any doubt that Romney would capture the most delegates. The question was if he would get to the magic number of 1,144, which I would have said was highly questionable about a month or so ago.

After these latest contests, it's pretty clear that the voters have lost faith in Santorum's bid and were abandoning him.

This has essentially guaranteed Mitt's nomination and I have a bet to pay off.
 
I think he shouldn't be allowed to just abort his campaign. He should be forced to carry it to term, even though it's dead.
