Rick Santorum Often Avoids The Facts In Regard To Major Issues

Just read that the right wing whack job is considering a run for the 2016 presidency. Hopefully, that never happens!

Rick Santorum ignores facts? Who knew.

The title to this thread and of the huffington article are lies. I am not a fan of Santorum and would be reluctant to vote for him. BUT notice that on four of the Five examples given, Santorum is not "ignoring facts." Huffington is merely quibbling with Santorum over the precise percentages he has discussed at some time in the past on issues of immigration, abortion, safety net, and education. Even on climate change, huffington's position is based on a percentage --not of all climate experts--but of those "most actively published" but climate skeptics and dissenters are less likely to be published or heard. Who defines "most actively published" and draws the line? How did that get to be the criterion for expertise? What percentage of all climate experts agree with Santorum?

It is likely that the believers in Bigfoot are more actively published than the sceptics. So we can say that 90% of actively published experts believe in Bigfoot. getting the 90 is simply at matter of drawing the "most active" line where it will give us the result we choose. 95% of active writers about UFOs believe in them. Or, if you prefer 90, we can as easily draw the arbitrary "most active" line there. Therefore anyone who does not believe in Bigfoot and UFOs is ignoring the facts. No, liberals I am not speaking of big feet and UFOs. I am pointing out the dishonesty and arbitrariness of the Huffington method of pretending to discredit Santorum.

I was fairly certain he was in for next time the day he conceded to The Mittens. Probably got the fundie vote locked up by now, especially in Iowa.
