you seem to know much about computers.

i have a problem with linux it slows my internet on my wireless to a crawl well 700kb/s i guess its not extremly slow but compared to windows 7Mbs or more its about 10 times slower

Well Linux has always had solid networking. Their WiFi support has often suffered at least in what they support. However, networking in general has always been tight. Given that portions NT's IP stack was essentially code from BSD, that says something.

TCP/IP was developed by U.C. Berkeley for Unix in the 1970s. AT&T liked it so much that they included it in subsequent versions of Unix. When U.C. Berkeley later developed their own Unix clone, BSD, the TCP/IP protocol was naturally included.

You're using the wrong wireless network driver for Linux.

My next computer was built entirely from the ground up and designed entirely by me. A pong game for the TV. The only refference material I used was signal output for the video. and I went without sound. I ended up catching on fire. :P That was my last forray into electronics.

Flaming Pong sounds a whole lot more interesting than the original.
