Re: Rihanna

On her having no personality - good point. Of the interviews I've seen she's pretty bland and I don't think I've seen her ever say something comical or mildly interesting.

I like a few of her songs (Russian Roulette & Hard I don't like) but Rude Boy isn't that bad. Mostly because I thought it was Beyonce the 1st time I heard it.

But as far as her appeal, musically or otherwise? For me she's just there to be there. If I have no room for a song on my iPod, one of hers is usually the 1st to go. Glad I'm not the only one who is completely underwhelmed by her allure.

Re: Rihanna

Agree with Dancer128
she knows how to sell, I like some of her song but I'm getting annoyed with her appearances lately...seems she lost orientation and trying too hard to look edgy/different

and ehmm her style seems going sluttier and cheaper...

Re: Rihanna

I love me some Rated R

The only previous songs I liked of hers were "we ride" "Unfaithful" "Breaking dishes" and "Rehab"

Obviously I enjoy her darker edge and I was really happy with her latest album. I LOVE her voice. Love her performances and all that shiz.

It is weird though, I cant figure out when I actually liked her. I think it was the day russian roulette was sent to radio stations and I heard it online that tuesday it was released. Could not stop playing it.

Right now.. Obsessed with Te Amo, rockstar 101, firebomb, rudeboy, and hard oh and wait your turn. Just all of it.

Re: Congrats Rihanna on your 8th and 9th Grammy nominations

YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS

I am dying Rihanna just won her second Grammy during the pre show (!) (!) (!)

Best Rap Song - Run This Town

Congrats Rihanna

Oh my freaking lord...i fucking died and came back to life when Rihanna won her 3rd Grammy on the main stage for the entire world to see.

I loved it how Jay said: "I would like to thank Rihanna who made the song what was"

Gotto give credit where credit is due :)

I had an instant orgasm when RUN THIS TOWN was called *|* and even my sperm had goosebumps.

Rihanna is phenomenal; even when she doesn't have an album out she still manages to win musics highest honor.

Where are the haters that said Rihanna will never win another Grammy :rotflmao:

I am most proud of the Best Rap Song Grammy because that is a song writers award and it shows Rihannas growth as an artist.

I am overcome with joy  i love this girl so much :gogirl:

Re: Congrats Rihanna on your 8th and 9th Grammy nominations

Damnnn did not know she won any.

Good for her, she deserved it.

As SOON as Run this town stopped getting played on the radio stations I been playing that shit non stop. I cant get enough of her vocals addicted to her voice.

Re: Congrats Rihanna on your 8th and 9th Grammy nominations

Yes 10 in all but dont worry its all for show.

The majority of those nominations are fraudulent so no way in hell weave will be winning 10...maybe not even 1.

Song of the Year and Album of the Year are a joke.

Female Vocals another fraud because Single Ladies in no is an example of superb vocals.

Halo was not the record of the year by any stretch of the imagination.

And so on and so on.

Well, she won 6...

One that really left me scratching my head...

How on earth was Single Ladies the best written song of the year?

And I Am Sasha Fierce nominated as Album of the Year? Not a very good one.

How on earth was Single Ladies the best written song of the year?

I know thats why i cried foul when the nominations came out. Single Ladies was a fun song and it would have been a contender for Record of the Year but in no way was it lyrically outstanding.

Song of the Year is a songwriters award and is based solely on the quality of a songs lyrics.

I thought for sure Pretty Wings would have won for r&b song but they gave it to Single Ladies which i don't even consider to be r&b as its a str8 up pop record.

I do not get how the voters felt that Single Ladies was lyrically superb.

And i fail to hear any outstanding vocals in the song yet they gave it best r&b vocal performance.

Anyways technically weave got 6 but anyone who isn't bias would know that weave was not deserving of all of them.

Re: Congrats Rihanna on your 8th and 9th Grammy nominations

people are complaining about Taylor Swift when this wins two grammies???

Re: Congrats Rihanna on your 8th and 9th Grammy nominations

None of Rihannas 3 Grammys can be discredited.

Umbrella was a great song.

95% of Rap insiders said RUN THIS TOWN was the best rap song.

In accepting the award Jay Z said : I would like to thank Rihanna for making the song what it was. I would also like to thank the genius Kanye West for producing it.

Rihanna cowrote the song so she had every right to be rewarded for her song writing talents.

So hate all you want but Rihanna got her Grammys fair and square and nobody would take you seriously if you come and say that Umbrella should not have won.

Re: Rihanna

Rihanna’s hot new single, “Rude Boy,” might just have an equally hot video accompanying it.

The pop star has once again employed video director Melina, who previously worked on her video for “Hard,” for the clip, and promises it will take a completely different route from her other work.

In an interview Wednesday (January 27) with Carson Daly for his Amp Radio show, Rihanna reveals a few bits and pieces about the video for her fans. “[It's] completely different from any other video I’ve shot before,” she said. “A lot of my videos are really dark and edgy and tough. ‘Rude Boy’ is more playing along the lines from my roots.

“We used a lot of color, but also the costumes were very Jamaican dance-hall queen type.”

The finished clip should be released in the coming weeks.

Ugh. Not likin' the sound of this...

Re: Rihanna

Yeah, I can see it getting old quick. I'm not wild about it to begin with.

Re: Rihanna

while everyone is bitchin' about Taylor Swift the real crime is that this non-talent received TWO Grammy Awards. Sure they were lesser awards which she practically had no part of contributing to but it's still a bad omen on the awards.

And now this:

Re: Rihanna

I fucking loathe Rude Boy already. It's overplayed like crazy here in Toronto...I can't change radio stations without hearing that God awful song.

Someone release the 1918 flu on Hollywood please.

UGHHH canada is so awesome.

When a song is released to radio stations, they actually play it and not wait 8 months.

Re: Rihanna

All I know is lovegame went number one on your hot 100 charts before anyone knew about pokerface here. That is fucking pathetic.
