Well Rihanna was getting touchy feely with Damien and then Kelly said, "you two should get a room."

Then later after Rihanna said Kelly's video was "hot" Kelly gave her a look.

Maybe i am reading into nothing.


According to Terius Nash, the song was shopped around to many labels before it reached Rihanna. Mary J. Blige and Akon both passed on the song, but once it got to Karen Kwak at Universal, she sent it to Antonio "L.A" Reid. Thus, Rihanna's version of Umbrella was born.

^ Tells who passed but i couldn't find who else wanted it. I did hear her say that she had to fight to get it though and she even prayed on it.

The TV version of the video is different from the online one.


She will be performing it at the MTV movie awards and she might sing Shut Up & Drive since it will be released to radio June 5th along with the album.

The UMBRELLA video was added to youtube on, April 26, 2007 and currently has over 2 million views, 2,415,354 to be exact.

I am a fan of this song, and that video was awesome. She is a distinctly beautiful woman, and that is one of the most sexually charged things I have ever seen.

I love it, I hated her song "Unfaithful", it drove me berserk, but this and S.O.S. never disappoint... I like her a lot, and it's not very often these days a Pop artist fancies my interest.

I guess I am just werid. I LOVE the song. But I cant stand to watch the video. It just really bores me alot. So much more could have been done. I like when a video follows a story line or something to that effect. She does look extremely hot in the video though hehe.

She said that rather than tell a story she wanted the video to be performance based.

It really could have been so much more, but, yes, she is hot in it.

I just wanted some more with the Umbrellas. Get literal. Have hot guys or one main guy under it with rain coming down and more.

I do like the choreography after the bridge though. I had to learn it for my reenactment of the video with i may put on youtube

I agree that more could have been done with the video. It almost looks like a covergirl commercial with all the close up profile shots of her but she is sexy non the less.

Sexy shitless male dancers perhaps could have been the route she might go down next time. :D

I really like the song, and I think the video is fabulous. I love the artistic turn she took with this one. Not entirely original, but well done and takes the song to a whole new level. I stop on VH1 & MTV every time i pass & it's on.

the sing is amazing but was very dissapointed in the video!
the video I dont think suited what she is!

There are 3 versions of the video.

One for the internet

One for MTV/VH1

One for BET


I saw all 3 i like the BET one a little more because it has 2 extra scenes.

now #2 on itunes!! :)
