Re: Ms. Chris Brown

That was poooor, thank goodness she doesn't sing any of that now.

Re: Ms. Chris Brown

Ah, I wonder what the missing years could have produced if she hadn't been lost.

Re: Ms. Chris Brown

maybe that's why she got beat up. she wouldn't stop "singing" in the car.

Rihanna on X Factor

Milli Vanilli my ass.

True ultimate talent.

Standing Ovation from everyone including Simon Cowell.

I love how she was trying to hit highnotes; but she is not there yet.

Rihanna did alot beter than Alicia Keys did last week on X Factor.

Rihanna better make way for that vocal Grammy beside her "1st and only" for Umbrella

Re: Rihanna on X Factor

Alicia Keys was on today as well, you know?

And Rihanna sucked. That performance was bloody awful!

Re: Rihanna on X Factor

That standing ovation says otherwise

Erm... dunno how to break this to ya, but the guest performers always get a standing ovation... you should only throw a boner if the contestants get one.

Personally, didn't do much for me, and looked awful after Alicia, who sung better, performed better, and came across much better talking to Dermot O'Hunky

Re: Rihanna on X Factor

India Arie was robbed that year so those Grammys "Doesn't Mean Anything" hey isnt that the title of her new single.

Alicia Keys could sing the Alphabet and they would give her record of the year. So most of her Grammys were undeserved.

Acoustic Soul was nominated for Album of the Year and Songs in A Minor was NOT. So how on earth could SIAM win R&B album over Acoustic Soul when AS was considered the 5 best overall of the year; but not win its individual R&B category?

So that was favoritistic fraud, yes i made up a new word.

Rihanna is perfectly fine with her one deserved Grammy.

I would rather have one true Grammy than 12 Grammys that are very suspect.

^^^

now its a triple post thanks to you.

India Arie

Re: Rihanna on X Factor

Yyyyeah, that's why musicians play instruments. So people don't notice they can't sing. :)

Re: Rihanna on X Factor

Wow, she's won as many Grammys as Dexy's Midnight Runners.

And that's not Rihanna's instrument. That's her producer's instrument.

Re: Rihanna on X Factor

I luv me some Rihanna

And I luv me some Alicia Keys.

See, both can win in my book.

India Arie.

And like i have said numerous times make fun of Rihannas one Grammy all you want but Rihanna had the last laugh because winning that one Grammy at the tender age of 19, on the main stage was her dream come true.

Re: Rihanna on X Factor

We all know Rihanna trumphs A. Keys anyways

Aint that the truth lol

Where the heck would she be without that damn piano lol.

Alicia Keys sounds hoarse as hell the past few years and she strains for notes. Gone are the days of "Fallin" lol

Re: Rihanna on X Factor

I gave the clip a listen. She's OK. Not horrible, not amazing - just OK. And frankly, I'm starting to think that's our new standard - just OK. Between this and the Whitney clip, it seems we're giving standing ovations for singers getting through a performance without screwing it up. When did public performance of popular music become the Special Olympics?

And enough with the excuses. She's a survivor, she went through a tough time, she had a cold, she was jet lagged, she had a grueling rehearsal, her dress was too tight? I've seen far too many artists - on TV, on huge stages, and in tiny clubs - succeed under every imaginable situation. Kick ass or don't, people.

Re: Rihanna on X Factor

See Moepheonix, what we are trying to say is Grammy Awards are only deserved when they are Digicel's favorite artists. Just becayse Alicia has one many, on many different occasions or works does not make her a valid artist. but when a true original maverik artist like Rihanna wins one. That's when it matters.

Re: Rihanna on X Factor

Oh well, my girl was the tender age of 21 when she won....let's count 'em again FIVE. Uno, dos, tres, cuatro,

India Arie is all i have to say.

Her Grammys were fraud.

Once the Grammys latch on a favorite they not letting go. Whenever Alicia Keys is nominated "no one" has a chance and it has nothing to do with how superior she is to everyone else. Just name recognition.

I put "no one" in quotes because that song was an example of more fraud. Jill Scott was robbed that year for vocal performance.

And in 2005 Teena Marie was robbed when they gave the Grammy to Alicia Keys for "If I Aint Got You"

Alicia Keys won those Grammy on her name alone.

Having Clive Davis champion her cause doesnt hurt either.
