The green toad was being sarcastic by saying more people Alica Keys than Rihanna because clearly thats not true. Rihanna is global superstar and is a more public figure. In any event the toad failed to realize i obviously meant name recognition with the NARAS academy. Once the voters see Alicia Keys on the ballad they just tick her name and to hell with more deserving artists.

Apparently they do. Those early Billboard returns aren't looking very hot for the Rated R one.

Rated R was never a commercial endeavor. It was Rihannas therapy and her label supported her on it.


Rihanna will be back on the Pon Di Replay dancefloor with her next album.

Yeah, labels are all about album-as-therapy these days. Always have been, actually.

After leading the decade with the most number 1s by a female i dont have a problem with Rihanna giving others a chance to get a number 1 record.

The toad is trying to be sarcastic again but anyone who listens to Rated R can tell right away that the album was not designed for hits like GGGB was.

Its a personal introspective album that Rihanna needed to make given the mind frame she was in.

Its just a phase and it shows artistic growth to be able to take personal troubles and express it in art.

All i can say whenever Rihanna performs is that she looks nice. Was anyone thinking "when the fuck was she gonna move out of that chair" but that was the most interesting thing in the performance.

And that was back in 2003 for female vocals which arguably should have gone to Heather Headley for "I Wish I Wasnt"

All the other Grammys came courtesy of having other people on the track.

Alicia's so frickin incredible, she didn't have to share her Grammy glory with nobody.

And people wonder why I spend time at EC. It's because I find the maturity of the 14-year-olds so refreshing. They just say "I like this song" and "I really don't like that singer that much". There's none of this bullshit of "my favorite singer is better than your favorite singer".
