You know, I usually care how an artist sounds live, but with Rihanna...I couldn't care less :/. Her albums are solid and her music is addictive. So long as it sounds good in my car coming from my iPod, I'll still love her

Rihanna sued by celeb photographer David LaChapelle over 'S&M' video​

Famed celeb photographer David LaChapelle is suing pop diva Rihanna over the images in her sexy “S&M” music video, which was released about two weeks ago, according to Reuters. The shutterbug is claiming that what’s on screen in the candy-colored clip are “directly derived” from pictures he’s shot. LaChapelle is famous for his work, taking photos of celebrities for magazines such as Rolling Stone, GQ, and Vanity Fair. His suit claims that “the music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works.” He goes on to say that Rihanna stole eight images for the video, which copied the “composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colors, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting of his work.”

A spokesperson at Rihanna’s record label has yet to return an email request seeking comment. Source

I could have sworn I remember seeing pictures of her black eye shortly after the incident happened. How is this news now?

This incident changed her from a bubblegum artist who would have likely been a one-hit wonder, to someone with a career and a really supportive female fan base. It's a shame it happened after THIS, but it's a good thing she's making it.

Regarding the photographs, they are terrible & the fact they've leaked now must be horrible for her. I hope the source of the leak get sued.

I wouldn't agree.

Good Girl Gone Bad went multi-platinum in multiple countries, earned a grammy and is still her best selling album to date. I think every single from that album made the top 10 in the US.

The album following the Chris Brown incident, Rated R, struggled in comparison.

Sorry, but Rihanna had a few #1 singles and I believe three platinum albums before "the beating"

To people who are still pissed at Chris Brown...what he did was horrible, however it was 2 years ago. He went through his anger management, expressed remorse, and we haven't heard anything about him acting out or blowing up since then. Jesus forgives, so should you. Maybe he is still an abusive monster, but you can't hold one unfortunate incident over his head for the rest of his life.
