OK - I'm gonna try and say this without looking like a total dumbass.
I still want to hear Chris' side before passing judgement. While I don't believe Rihanna is fully to blame, from what story she has supposedly told, they both are.

1) She admits it was an escalating abusive relationship. DUMBASS, leave!
2) She placed a fake call which in turn lead to the punching. She provoked the "brutal" attack.
3) According to Chris Brown's abused mother, her mother's alleged "abuser" denies nothing more than heated arguments.
4) I blame Chris for not being man enough to step back and cool off. I blame him for being a little bitch and talking about his mom's abuse and yet he did the SAME thing. How does it feel to beat your mother, Chris?

i'm not saying it fits this situation, but those asking why she didn't just leave when she realized things were escalating should look up Battered Woman's syndrome. warped i know, but it does exist.

i have a cousin who actually cut ties with the family for awhile because we took offense to her man beating her ass every other day.

Atually those women who stay are financially dependent on the man and or have children with the man so they stay for the children or because they are not financially independent.


Rihanna does not qualify, so from he hit her the first time she would have been out the door. This is ridiculous they not even living together. She goes to see him gets beat and then goes home and the next day repeats the cycle.

1. It's easy for people to say just leave, but obviously this latest incident was the worst it has gotten. Rihanna hasn't stopped working since she starting seeing him and she was at the height or her popularity. So whatever happened between them never prevented her from working. Perhaps before, there was just pushing or shaking. Rihanna is young so maybe she didn't exactly know how to handle it or what she'd gotten herself into.

2. Or, perhaps she faked the call in an attempt to calm him down/scare him and get him to stop. Again, this obviously was the worst his abuse has gotten so I don't see how she could anticipate it would go as far as it did. It doesn't make sense that she'd want to be injured and face this setback in her career.
