I don't think she means it like for a comeback, but than again she didn't come out with new album for 2008 just a refreshed album.

Sigh. And people say Beyonce is overkill. You don't see/hear her nearly as much as Rihanna who's already working on her 4th album in 4 year years. Ugh. Her and Justin Timberlake need at least a 3 year break. They're both far too overexposed.

I love when Artist comeback every year with a new album. The reason why Beyonce haven't really been in the spotlight is because she is filming new movies, and her album I think comes out next month, but I think I heard something about it being pushed back.

I don't believe Rihanna is working on a new album. She REALLY doesn't need one. 1 in 2005, 1 in 2006, 1 in 2007, and a re-release of GGGB this year. In total, GGGB has 8 singles...that's TOO MUCH!

Why, wouldn't she want to make a new album. Rihanna is really doing good for herself at this young age. Plus, she has tied Beyonce and Mariah with all the #1 Singles that had blown away the charts.

2009: Fourth Studio Album

On October 4th 2008 in an interview with All Music Rihanna confirmed that she is currently in the studio working on her fourth studio album. She stated that, "I'm currently working on record number four and I'm having so much fun. I'm having so many new experiences and meeting so many new people, it's amazing". Rihanna also stated that the album will head in a more Techno Rock direction saying, "I want this album to head in the same direction as Good Girl Gone Bad but with even more edge. The tracks will be less R&B influenced and will have a feel closer to that of, Disturbia, Shut Up & Drive and Breakin' Dishes". Rihanna also stated that she will be writing 3 tracks of the album herself and that they are quite different from her previous work and also stated that one of the tracks will fit into the punk-rock category". A release date for the album has not yet been announced.

Breakthrough Success and Accomplishments

Rihanna has four Billboard Hot 100 number ones hits thus far ("SOS", "Umbrella", "Take a Bow", and "Disturbia"), being tied with Mariah Carey and Beyoncé as the female solo artist with the most number ones this decade. The Good Girl Gone Bad album has three number one singles in United World Chart and it is only the fifth album to do so.
