I am very 'clean' as a person and yet ... rimming is something that lures me mor than anything else. You'll find that there are guys who like musky smells but for the rest, it's unlikely they will complain if you take a quick shower before sex. And you always have the option to invite them to join you in the shower.

Nah. Don't agree. While I can understand the concern with parasites and the like, if someone's into scent, we don't want a friggin' shower that's going to wash away the odor. That defeats the purpose of "stink." And some of us get pretty wildly sexy with "stink." If you're jumping everything that moves, well, you're taking chances. But if you get checked out and you have a partner or partners you know are only with you, that type of advice is pure Puritanism. And rigid. (Oxymoron?)

Certain odors set me on fire. And nothing else will do that. But my playmate isn't with anyone if he's not with me, so, No. Just NO. I don't like that advice one bit, let me be blunt. "As long as you use Dial soap, you're safe."

Well, this thread that's a couple of years old has a two different things going on.

The first section is about rimming. The second part is a question from a very young inexperienced member who was worried about being clean.

My advice was directed to the second part- suggesting that, if he was anxious about being clean, instead of stressing about it, have his partner join him in the shower or bath. That would relieve his anxiety and also provide some fun time for him and his boyfriend.

I'm not sure what is going on in the forums this week but in the past, we generally didn't attack each other. Especially in H&W, the tradition has always been to state your point of view and not argue with (or project your own interpretations) onto other members?
