What do you think about Pete Burns?
In case you don't know who Pete Burns is, he was the lead singer to the British new wave band Dead Or Alive and was a one hit wonder in the United States with the famous "You Spin Me Round (Like A Record)" He also just so happened to hold the Guinness World Record for the highest amount of plastic surgery done, and you can definitely tell.
I know that aging beauty icons have been known to get lots of plastic surgery, Pam Anderson and Sylvester Stallone being very good examples, but Pete looks absolutely fucking NOTHING like he used to back in the 1980s.
Jesus Christ....That's a lot of plastic surgery....Being a homosexual cisgendered man, I will not discriminate the guy for being an androgynous man, but you have to be honest. Pete was such a handsome man back in the 1980s and since the 1990s his face has been constantly changing so much....Hell, he doesn't even look like how he does in the picture above as of 2014. He's had most of those piercings removed and his face isn't that swollen anymore. Today, he kind of looks like a combination of Snooki and Cher...He's not transgendered, he actually still identifies himself as a man, surprisingly....To be honest, I find Pete to be a very fascinating person, he has an extremely intelligent, witty, and sarcastic sense of humor. He also just so happens to be a ruthless badass like Wolverine and doesn't take shit from anybody. If he doesn't like somebody, he WILL let that person know and he simply does not care what you think of him. I respect that, I respect that very much. I mean, watch this......This guy literally has no censor!

i remember him from the first video in the 80's and was always fascinated with him. Back then I was a kid & he was the first person that I didn't know if he was a boy or girl. Now, I cant say I like the new look as much.

Pete did have a plastic surgery disaster around 2003-2004. He went to this doctor for a lip augmentation and he injected his lips with this product that was not approved by the FDA. Pete Burns had a really bad reaction to it and his lips and entire face basically just filled up with pus. Every single plastic surgeon he went to just said that the only thing they could do was lip amputation. It wasn't until he met a doctor who specialized in reconstructing faces that were eaten away by cancer that he was able to save his face.
Which is why it really bothers me that he still gets facial augmentations to this day....He doesn't need this happening to him again.

I feel sorry for him, he must have some serious identity issues to put himself through so much trauma but hey if he's happy then that's all that matters after all, no one put a gun to his head and forced him to get collagen and botox injections.

Thanks! That is interesting to me...I always have the same question when I see something so severe and wonder if there was a botched surgery somewhere along the way....
Maybe he is trying to fix the damage and it just makes it worse?

I dispute the suggestion that Burns holds the world record for plastic surgery. Surely Wacko was in a league of his own in that respect.

Dead or Alive was really big in the 80's, had several hits in the US as well as the UK and Europe. They weren't one hit wonders. Just appalling what people do to their faces... Pete was a handsome, albeit proudly androgynous looking man back in the day but a total mess now. It's his money and choice but he definitely doesn't do himself any favors looking like that and still going for plastic surgery augments. Like that Jocelyn Wildenstern or whatever her name is, the socialite who whose plastic surgery has given her an eerily feline appearance... lovely woman when she was just herself. Didn't need to change anything, but in the end it's personal choice and do they have the funds available to match. Not someone I'd really care to hang out with or get to know.

Looks like a waxwork of Cher that's been left out in the sun!
I still have their LP which I bought in about 1984; I really liked their stuff back then.
And he was very OK looking, sad that he felt he had to change that.
Same thing with Michael Jackson - he looked quite fine in the early 80s, why did he have to go and let doctors make him ugly?
