Well, I was okay, and enjoying a nice quiet day today. Then I went onto the railway forum I belong. I was looking at a thread about Wi Fi on trains, and before I knew it I was reading a horror story of an ex-policeman making fun of someone for looking at gay porn on his laptop. I know, you shouldn’t be looking at any kind of porn on a train, but I see this as a gay bashing story, and I am very angry about it! I will sleep on it tonight, but I will almost certainly report it to a Moderator tomorrow morning.

So, here’s a train pic. It is of a class 5 steam engine, 5305, which is preserved, and is seen passing through Driffield, on the 29th December, 1982, on it’s way to Scarborough and York via Malton.

Happy New Year!

I did make a short trip to the Mummers Parade. I was early so I got to see several of the wench brigades. They are fairly large groups of men, women, and children wearing similar colorful dresses. One brigade wore Barbie-themed hot pink. Another was mostly orange; another red white & blue. It was a joyous mess, as usual.

I didn't stay long. A little goes a long way. And the string bands don't march until mid-afternoon. I left around 11:15,

And I left my phone at home purposely...then realized I really should have taken pictures. Noplace else dies this.
