Hi RM! Did we make it through Monday with no visible scars?

Miss Patti Labelle looked good and oh, that voice can still swoop. She had four backup singer and I fear they did a LOT of the work. It IS her 80th birthday...and 65th year in the business, so there is that. She did "Somebody.Loves You Baby" and many of the Patti classics...even "Lady Marmelade." But not "New Attitude", darnit.

The opening act was The Commodores! Lionel wasn't there, but other original members keep it real. I got goosebumps during "Just To Be Close To You" and I thought their best of the night was "Lady (You Bring Me Up)."
They extended "Brick House" to death, though.

The casino did not pay off this trip. Can't win every time.

I have a quiet week planned. Hockey playoffs on TV and a community theater night of short plays Thursday.

Rob, I'm sorry you had to witness that irate motorist verbally assault that bicyclist. Unfortunately that has happened to me on a couple of occasions when I've been riding my bike minding my own business, and someone in a car decides to be ugly and hateful to me. Unfortunately some people in cars have the attitude that bikes have no right to be on the road, despite all the laws regarding legal right of way.

Firstly, very sadly, I have not heard from Christian since the 27th June last year - as I have said before I have kept all of his emails, and have just looked the last one up. I hope he is okay, but I’m wondering if a patient might have done something unthinkable to him. I’ll always think of the fun we had together, and what kinky fun it was! But I’m sure he would not want either of us to get down about his prolonged absence. So, as he would often put it, ‘Be happy and horny!’

Now then, RM, I have news about my friend Andrew. He is okay, and has been put back onto his anxiety meds. He is eating and drinking, and has been moved to a different hospital. It is hoped he might be home in a few weeks after he gets back, fully, onto his meds.

Today, the 13th, has had it’s other moments! I went, on the train, to Scarborough. On the train, the PA system was a bit wrong, and was announcing that we were going to stop at stations we were not scheduled to stop at. Then, on departing Bridlington station, it promptly announced that the next station was Bridlington!! Then, and this is something that you cannot make up, it did a big belching sound and after that there were no more announcements!!:p:lol:

Anyway, I am okay, and relaxing this evening after that day of strangeness! ;) I have ordered a new model locomotive too today, and will send you a photo of it when it arrives.

Hi RM! Happy Friday!

Last night's evening of shrt plays was fun, even though they weren't all comedies. Only one was...kinda gruesome. The last one, " A Really Bad Bedtime Story," was quite funny enough. The 45-year-old actress who played 6-year-old Emily was wonderful.

And I got home in time to see the end of the hockey game. The Florida Panthers can win the Stanley Cup this Saturday night.

Rain is forecast here tonight.
