I’ve had a good day, and went to an illustrated talk about a railway civil engineer of the North Eastern Railway, a Mr. T. E. Harrison. He helped design several big bridges and viaducts along with the various lines that were constructed in the late 1800’s.

Now here’s a photo’ of one of the twin articulated model carriages of the LNER’s Coronation train from 1937. It is of two all first class carriages.

Hi RM! I'm in Salt Lake City International Airport, waiting to fly home.
Last night was fun! I went to a play, "The Moors," at Westminster University. I'd never heard of the school, but they have a killer performing arts program. The play is set in an isolated house on the English moors. It's a strange, crazy play where the dog (a mastiff) and a moor-hen are co-stars with speaking parts (not to the humans, though). All along you get the feeling things will not end well. Spoiler: they don't. But what an ending!

Afterwards I went to TRYangles bar for underwear night. It was better than I expected. The DJ had me dancing all night.

So back to my dull normal life for a few weeks.

My neighbor gave me some lemon cake wrapped in tinfoil and I nearly upchucked when I opened it. It smelled like dirty socks and busted bum! My senses were so assaulted, I'm this close to filing charges against her. To the trash it went. Anywho, just posted the new pics.

Well, that’s disgusting about that lemon cake, it was well off and I’m glad you threw it out. I have no idea what your neighbour was thinking!
I’m okay, and there has been no snow in the area where I live, but other places have had some. The rest of the week will be freezing cold, but next weekend it becomes milder once more. Unfortunately there will be a storm system, bringing severe gales and rain. We are really being put through it, as we say in Yorkshire!

Hi, sexy RM, I hope you have had a great day, and can have a relaxing evening. I have sent you a hot email, and the email full of sexy studs. . Thank you for your very kind and loving support about our weather. It really helps, RM.

Well, it has been very cold, but we had no snow - it was areas just south of here which had snow. I had a hygiene appointment at the dentist in the afternoon, but, in the words of the hygienist, at the end of the work, “You can now escape!” Oh and all is okay with the teeth and gums.

I bought a book, on Saturday, and meant to tell you a strange railway story, from the 1960’s. It is from when the line to Market Weighton was open. The author was on a train to Driffield. It departed from Beverley, in the usual way, and all seemed well.
Then the train got to the junction between the two lines a mile north of the station. It was then that something was not right. The train was routed onto the line to Market Weighton instead of the line to Driffield!! The driver stopped the train. The guard came along, and they decided to reverse the train back over the junction. On reaching the signalbox, words were had with the signalman.
So, after a while, it was decided the train could go forward to Driffield, on the correct line. Ultimately it was both the driver at fault for not realising the junction had not been set correctly, and signalman for getting it wrong.
I don’t know, the things that apparently happened in the old days……

Well, RM, I would love to see a photo’ of Texas in the snow. I’m sure it would be a special and unique sight.
Talking of snow, again, I got to Scarborough today, and on getting there, the ground was covered in snow, but it had become frozen and was a very dangerous sheet of ice. Walking very slowly over it I managed to get to the chocolate shop. . Then I was very careful again and made it back to the station for my train home. No pics of that frozen snow only I was having to use my arms to balance myself.

Wow, I'm surprised that neighbor lady tried to pass off that bad lemon cake on you. Maybe she didn't realize it was that old, hopefully she wasn't trying to poison you.

Rob, sounds a bit treacherous having to walk on frozen snow like that. I'm not really familiar with winter weather, but from what I've heard, black ice sounds dangerous. You could be driving along, and just not see it, and go sliding off the road. But you do whatever you have to do to satisfy your chocolate craving.
