Hey Andrew! (*8*) I just listened to it on Twitter last night and it sounds like Aaliyah to me, but not as crisp. There's only so much one can do with 20+ year old demo vocals. I think they should let her rest in terms of these "new" songs.

I have had a good day, and checked out and test run the new carriages I got from Sheffield on Friday. They are incredibly detailed and beautifully painted, plus working lights too. I think I will have to send you the photo’s spread out over two days - I have photographed some of the booklet that comes with them.

So, here’s the first two photo’s of the Quad-Arts. That’s four carriage sets, coupled permanently together. Two sets were used to make eight carriages in total.

This shows one of the brake thirds:

And heres the details underneath it - the brake rigging, battery boxes, dynamo, etc. I have checked drawings and photos and it’s all there.

The bogie at the right hand end is correct, only the next carriage shares it, hence the term Articulation. So more tomorrow, including excerpts from the booklet.

She probably could've done these songs before she died but never released until now and will have to make them sound good like when Poison came out I think it sounded different then they released a new version of it if a new album comes out it maybe a good thing or not

Yeah, those vocals were from demos she recorded before she died which is preferable to using AI, but atp I think it's best to leave those alone. She left us with some great stuff. 🙂

Rob, that's a nice set of carriages you bought at Sheffield. That articulation feature on the train cars is interesting. I never heard of that, but it does make sense, in that it would help give a train flexibility in going around curves. I'm sure they must do that here in the States as well.

I’m glad you found the carriages of interest, especially the articulation. It was supposed to help save some weight and space. Only trouble was when a wheelset developed a fault then all four carriages had to be taken out of service.
