It has been a good day, and had a good afternoon walk with friends.
You’re right about The Fall. It’s much cooler, and we have now had the first frost! It’s still a bit mild by the afternoon at about 62 to 65F.

Now let’s have a train pic. It shows 31459 Cerberus as it draws train, 2Q08, from Doncaster- Hull along the little-used Anlaby Road Curve in Hull on the 2nd March, 2010. The train included DB999508 and 31602 Driver Dave Green at the rear.

Hi RM! Today was better. I mended fences.

Friday I've been invited to an old high school classmate's home for a gathering. I went last Christmas and it was really nice. I rediscovered there were classmates I liked and want to hang with.

Well I got to Scarborough on the train today. It was busy, and the weather was much warmer. I couldn’t resist buying more of the delicious homemade chocolates! :p Yum, yum.
I have been doing more railway modelling this evening and completed some interior painting of a model carriage.

I have enjoyed the hot studs you sent me last night, *|* and I hope you have enjoyed the studs that I sent you last night. :p

Now a train pic, and it shows a special livery on a class 158 diesel unit. It is celebrating 200 years of railways. I took the photo at my home station whist the unit departed on the 17.28 to York via Hull.

I'm a bit disappointed today. Yesterday a celeb fakes server I was a member of on some other website was reported for a second time and as far as I know all non-creators like myself were kicked out. I understand that the owner of the server is protecting himself and other fakes creators from morons who go out of their way to sabotage them, but I'm worried I'll never see him again. Those fakes were exquisite. 😞 He did post a message that he might come back in October, but it's uncertain. Anyway, just posted the new pics. :gogirl:

I'm fine. Going to a memorial tomorrow for a former co-worker who recently died...complications from long COVID. I adored her...she bailed me out at a Cracker Barrel inventory. Yes, we had to count all the cr•p in that gift shop at the entrance. They had that many hard candy sticks and cutesy dishtowels. RIP, Carol.
 
I'm sorry for your loss, Thad. 🫂 The pandemic may have been five years ago (still blows my mind), but the effects are still felt today. Thank goodness no one was killed during that trolley accident.

Thank you for being so understanding about my being on here so incredibly late last night. :kiss: I fell asleep in my chair again, and I finally got to bed at, wait for it, 04.30 a.m., !!! :eek::lol: And I have a friend and he does the same too! ;)

Well, I have got some more railway modelling done today. That carriage I am working on will now have to have its seats repainted. They are are in maroon, for the North Eastern Region of British Rail, as it was, they should be in dark green. I think I have a tinlet of that green, I will have to find it or get a new one. Then I will post a photo of it on completion. It is certainly quite a project, but most interesting.

So, I have not got round to enjoying the hot studs from the last couple of nights you have lovingly sent me, but hope to enjoy them all tomorrow afternoon. *|*. I hope you have enjoyed the studs I have sent you. :p

I'm back from Carol's memorial. About a dozen of us, her former coworkers, were there, with many more family members and friends. Lots of memories.
What I didn't expect was a Buddhist ceremony! There are African-American Buddhists in Philadelphia, and Carol worked at the Buddhist Center bookshop in addition to doing inventories with us.

Well, those model trains are interesting, and the modelling I do I find very therapeutic. A photo’ to follow.

So, RM, and Araucaria, here is a quick photo’ of progress so far on the Driving Trailer Composite car, class 104, of the North Eastern Region of British Railways. It is modelled from circa 1965. Hence the light green partions and much darker green seats.
I have yet to form, somehow, the ‘divisions’ in the middle of the seats in a light green, and the red wood surrounds to the windows in the partitions. The first class saloon stays in blue. So more to come in due course all being well.

The black box is where a digital speaker is located. I may use it, but I have not yet decided.

Now let’s have a picture of a full size train. It is of a four car class 104 diesel unit approaching Beverley on a Hull to Scarborough service in about 1959.

I hope Carol's memorial brought you all some peace and nice garden pic, Thad. (group) The first black Buddhist I knew of was Tina Turner. I went to private Christian schools all through K-12 and our Bible teachers would scoff at Buddhist and Hindu beliefs like reincarnation, but even then I thought "how can you laugh at that when we're taught that a man survived being in the belly of a whale and a virgin gave birth Christ[/I]?". I just believe in everyone being respectful of each others beliefs.
