There's still plenty of snow. But the sidewalks and roads are clear. I'll go out tomorrow.
They actually got even more snow at the Jersey Shore, and Ocean County had lots of power outages. Our power stayed on throughout, mercifully. I don't really mind a blizzard if I'm warm and dry and well-lit.

I’m okay, and went to York today on the train. It was busy in the old city and I bought a model train.

Happy Friday!
I had pizza for lunch. We have so many pizzerias but one of our longtime favorites closed recently. My housemate decided to try Keystone Pizza, which we never had before (it's near Pica's which closed). It was quite good! I'd eat it again.
I need a shower and I will head out soon. I think it's a night to be rowdy.

Now here are a couple of photos of the new model train I bought in York yesterday.
It is a two car class 104 diesel unit in white and maroon livery. The prototype entered service in 1985, and the livery gained it the nickname ‘The Mexican Bean’. ;)

So, let’s have a train pic. It is of an unusual locomotive working the weekly Stanlow to Scarborough Oil Tanks - 45051. The loco has just 'run round' its' train having seen the Tanks discharged in Appletons' Public Delivery Siding. The loco will now propel the Oil Tanks back into Scarborough Station through the former Londesborough Road Excursion Station platform before departing for York. The photo is undated but probably the early 1980’s.

It is a train with a difference, the Mexican Bean. It was used in Scotland between Crianlarich and Oban for tourists.
