Marciano is beautiful. But, let's face it, he's a TV weatherguy. Pffft. How dare he add to the right wing spin that Gore's movie is politically motivated. He was WAY out of place in editorializing about that story.

I think that what Gore has done is opened a public discussion on the matter of global warming. Hitherto the Bush policy was to downplay it all, even going as far as to dismiss the Tokyo protocol. But recently, Bush seems to be changing his tune, albeit to a different offkey cadence.

Critics may point their wagging little fingers at the exaggerations. But when it opens a debate, then people can become more informed about the ideas, and go on to explore what they can do to better ameliorate our effects on the planet.

If Rob Marciano disagrees with global warming, he can still see the wisdom in attempts to curb greenhouse gas emissions, or recycling. Otherwise, he has to explain why adding green house gases to the atmosphere or increasing energy consumption and the uptake of natural resources benefits the physical world (as opposed to the economics of world trade). If he can't tell us why adding pollutants to the atmosphere is good then he's a charlatan. If he say's adding pollutants to the atmosphere is bad, then he's either disingenous about global warming, or is a hypocrite. You can't have it both ways.
