His job is seriously just to be pretty. He stands there and showcases whatever prize is available, gives a funny face or cute smile and waves at the audience in a manner that only says "Hi, I'm pretty! I'm really pretty!"

It's funny that you're conditioned to see woman acting this way on a regular basis on TV and not questioning it or seeing it as odd. But I'm watching this guy and I'm like... "is this really happening?"

A sign that progression is happening even ahead than what I can imagine.

This show is one of the very few if not the only mainstream one where the men are the sex objects.

Women being the 'fair sex' is so ingrained in us that even I as a gay guy when I see male nudity on TV feel uneasy!
 
Not a bad gig...must be nice. I don't think he's that hot, but whatever.

That said...i do agree about the progression thing. It is nice to see guys being accepted and "showcased" in ways that are normally reserved for women. Hey dipshits, men are appealing as well.

Hell, I'm gayer than gay...but I can at least look at women and see why straight men would find them beautiful. But this notion that men are inherently disgusting and unappealing...while women are the most beautiful creatures to ever grace the earth? Child, bye.

that being said: I also think a lot of straight men can look at another guy and tell when they're objectively HOT, but they are often afraid to admit it to themselves and definitely not anyone else. You know--that would be gay. :roll:

This!

We have to open another thread to discuss why male nudity is termed as homoerotica but when women are naked its just for the straight men. Whenever you go to a video with male nudity or hot guy/s there comments saying gay/fag, etc. Like women don't find men sexy. In porn, during threesomes its always two women and one man. Only when there are two men and a woman the porn is titled - bisexual.

Two women kissing is no longer lesbian but straight porn fodder. They don't even question their sexuality.
 
Rob has been off for awhile and he has been back lately (or the episodes were repeats).
He has about 5 things he can do with his hands. He points, he stretches out his arms at the same time (when modelling a car), he rubs his hands together, etc. He cant do the uplifted hand like the women models because it looks effeminate.
He's only shirtless from time to time. They dont have him shirtless every chance they get (it seems)

Its an easy job but as I watched today, I was looking at the female blond model and thinking "it must get boring nd do they think to themselves, it this all there is?"

Sale of the Century was recently on and thats the last time I remember male models on game shows

Rob is one of the main reasons I enjoy watching TPIR again as well as Drew. And yeah, Rob shirtless should have a warning for those of us watching at home:)
