Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

...The question is, will Kennedy voters feel inclined to vote for Trump on election day or will their fringe dissatisfaction keep them on thier couches come November?
This election seems to have at least one recurring theme: couches. ;)

The polling numbers suggest that RFK Jr was benefiting from the "double-hater" phenomenon- that there was a small number of voters who didn't like Biden and didn't like Trump and were looking for an alternative. When the change to Harris happened, Kennedy dropped from 10% to 5% in the polls. All the crazy news stories haven't helped and it also suggests some of the RFK Jr supporters didn't really know RFK Jr.

RFK Jr is another man who can't stand it when his name isn't in the news. The rumors are, yes, he's angling to be Secretary of Health & Human Services, a job that is wholly unqualified for. But lack of qualification is exactly the qualifications that the Trump campaign finds desirable. Something tells me that the people of Samoa might also have an opinion about RFK Jr having anything to do with healthcare.

Appearing in Shot in the Arm, a 2023 documentary about vaccine opposition, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. was asked about the deadly measles outbreak that occurred in Samoa in 2019 and claimed the lives of 83 people, mostly children. Kennedy, a leading anti-vaxxer who had visited the Pacific island nation a few months before the outbreak, replied, “I’m aware there was a measles outbreak…I had nothing to do with people not vaccinating in Samoa. I never told anybody not to vaccinate. I didn’t go there with any reason to do with that.”

Kennedy was being disingenuous, sidestepping his connection to that tragedy. Children’s Health Defense, the nonprofit anti-vax outfit he led until becoming a presidential candidate, had helped spread misinformation that contributed to the decline in measles vaccination that preceded the lethal eruption. And during his trip to Samoa, Kennedy had publicly supported leading vaccination opponents there, lending credibility to anti-vaxxers who were succeeding in increasing vaccine hesitation among Samoans. Moreover, in early 2021, Kennedy, in a little-noticed blog post, hailed one of those vaccination foes as a “hero.”

Gee, what a shock, I mean, who could have guessed, it's just so out of left field. NOBODY saw this coming...

Kennedy has suspended his campaign and is backing Trump.

"Systematic censorship".

Meanwhile, bears across America say, "Schaudenfreude!".

His family are basically disowning his nonsense.

With luck, his endorsement of Trump will drive even more of the Dems out to vote this year.

I got annoyed with NPR 5 minute headline news last night. Three times they led with RFK Jr. announcing he was dropping out of the race to help Trump. C'mon, NPR, can't you do better than that? After all, everybody has known that he is a nonfactor for months. Surely they could have found something more important.

The timing was already planned long ago. Toad was trying to upstage the DNC like Biden's withdrawal crushed and BURIED his noble martyr schtick. It must have been incredibly disappointing to realize that most Americans were mostly sorry the crazy missed.

They kind of missed it by a day though, didn't they?

In the end, The DNC finished on a high note and the Arizona announcement and appearance ended up being more of a footnote.

In his own mind no doubt it was wildly clever and successful.

The WEIRD factor just increased exponentially....

And of course, he knows exactly what he has signed on for.

And he would do it. He is lusting for power...he is nuttier than squirrel shit at this point.

And it isn't just the worms.

It is the drugs.

And the fact that he is a fucking sociopath.
