Robyn [European Superstar]

Her latest album is really incredible, in my opinion. It really reminded me of M.I.A. for the most part of it - probably because it's something different and unique. I love Crash and Burn Girl.
 
Anybody into Robyn?

Does anybody (particularly the U.S.) remember Robyn? She sang "Do You Know (What It Takes)" and "Show Me Love" which were pretty popular in about 1997. I remember those songs way back from 8th grade, then she disappeared from the U.S. scene. It wasn't until a few months ago when I ran into her song & video for "Handle Me" and was hooked instantly. I absolutely adore "Be Mine!", and the ballad version of it is so beautiful. I've heard rumblings of her album (which had been released a year or two ago overseas) is gonna see an American release, which would be awesome. Anybody heard anything about that?

By the way, check out her Rakamonie EP on iTunes...I'm really loving "Cobrastyle"!

HECK YEAH man lol.... I was just watching her videos on youtube the other day... she is my girl, im only 22 but remember she was a big deal! Good to see someone else is listening to her too.

I have the only US release she did way back in 1997. She has a few cds out from over seas. You can buy them on cdnow/amazon. Their are just kinda pricey. Why dont all the good artist get liked here? lol

Love her! Loved "Robyn Is Here" back in the day and the like last year maybe or two years ago I downloaded all of her other cds including her newest one(which is getting released here in the states soon...The Rakamonie EP is getting released first) She's doing a show in NYC I think this coming week...I wish she was doing one in Boston...but nope=(

I absolutely adore her song 'Be Mine'... it has been my favourite song for a few weeks now and even though I play it constantly, it is so good that I am not even close to being sick of it... I also love with every heartbeat.

I think that she is really talented and her latest album is very good.... I hated her when she first came out in the 90's but I am glad that she is back and I am glad that I gave her a chance :)

i've been listening to Robyn Is Here in the car nonstop the past few days lol.........and when i"m in the house I'm listening to the new album and cover songs I have by her.....so I broke down and found her two other albums "Don't Stop the Music" and "My Truth" and downloaded them...lol....she was in NYC last night...anyone go?

I was at the concert at highline and it was truly amazing! I uploaded those pics of the concert on her website. She was amazed that everyone knew her lyrics. The whole club was going nuts.....Check out the video someone put on you tube. I was right in front when she leaned over and screamed during the music pause at the end...

Anyone have her new CD? It is fantastic!!! It's been out for a while but just got released here. All the songs are great. I couldn't even pick a fav if I wanted to.

Yeah, I've had it since it came out in 2005 - and I'm here in the US. It's annoying when people who already have a great following suddenly become the "big thing" elsewhere, and then you get typecast as being "mainstream" when you aren't.

I really like Robyn. I used to live in Holland, where she is quite popular and was able to keep up with all her records. She is great.
