Im Really happy For Madonna!!!!

What Are Your Thoughts On The inductees?

Good for Madonna - one of the artists that will be remembered and talked about - no matter if she is liked, loved or not.

M.A.D.O.N.N.A.

Needles to say, I'm completely satisfied about la m's induction.

As for John Mellencamp. As a teen in the 1980's, his music provided the soundtrack for my most memorable moments at times. He's terribly underrated and definitely deserves it.

I don't know if people realize it but he scored 14 top 20 hits in the 1980's and 10 of those were all consecutive from 1981's "Ain't Even Done With The Night" to 1986's "R.O.C.K. In The U.S.A. (A Salute To 60's Rock)." Most of today's artists (hi, Britney) would kill for a track record like that!

The man is a gem!

Now that does SUCK!

I remember when Irene Cara won the Grammy in 1984 for Best Pop Vocal Performance, Female she said that she didn't believe it was really happening because the Grammy rarely goes to the person that truly deserves it (guess she had a big ego at the time).

And she cited Summer as being the prime example of when Grammy didn't go to whom it should have in 1980. Donna Summer was out of this world hot in 1979 and quite honestly, paved the way for other dance divas like Madonna, Janet Jackson, Taylor Dayne, in the 1980's.

When is Cher going to get nominated?
She's the only person to have a number one song in five different decades. She has a very diverse audience. etc.

I'm trying to recall the number Cher had in the 80's, but nothing came to mind. What was the no.1 for Cher in the 80s, floor?

i know Cher only had a No. 1 song in the, 70s, and 90s, She didnt have one in the 80s or the 00s, and "you got me" wasnt a cher solo single, cuz it was with sonny bono, so that kinda rules out the 60s, so she only had a No. 1 song in two decades, hell Madonna and Janet jackson, has had a No. 1 single in the 80s, 90s, and 00s
