LOL the look on his face is price less...I like the cover though I don't know whats the message...or even...

For some reason this picture bugs me. Feels too stereotypical.

I sorta feel the same way, but I figure it's all in fun and Chris did agree to it. BTW, does anyone else notice the token black guy near the back...it looks awkward

I was also thinking the picture shows stereotypes but it's meant to be taken lightly and we have to consider the target audience.

Good point. I didn't even notice him until you pointed him out, seems like a last minute decision.

Yup. Because we all know that fags in a gay bar prey on innocent young boys.

I have no idea what they are trying to convey. Gangbanging on the little boy?

I think that's where the problem with this image lies. Rolling Stones is a widley distrubuted and pop. magazine, and the image they choose to depict of the gay community is of leather daddies preying on a young innocent boy. So I can see why some might be offended by this photo.

HOWEVER, like i said, I think it's all in fun, and Chris agreed to it, and I'm sure Ryan Murphy would have spoken up if he felt uncomfortable as well. So yea...

Oh come on people. Rolling Stone has always been like this with a lot of the covers and photos. It`s not that big of a deal.

I must say that Colfer was the last person I noticed in that picture... !oops!

Isn't Kurt from Glee 16?

At least I think this is the same Kurt...

If it is, are we allowed to post the picture?

The actor Chris Colfer turned 20 a couple of months ago.

I thought it was a rule that we could not post any actor regardless of age if he was portraying a fictional underage character at the time the picture/video was taken?

What we see is a bunch of leather rough guys preying on a little boy. Trying to turn him.

I saw it a bit of a different way - which is the great thing about a concept picture like this, it can be interpreted lots of different ways. Playing the Kurt character, Colfer is still coming to terms with his sexuality (coming out to his Dad, and getting his first public boyfriend, upcoming) - so I thought this picture was a bit of a clever take on "Woah, uh, okay...not quite ready for this much gay yet". He can be fabulous and gay-it-up in his own little environment, but it's still insulated from the larger world; this picture has fun plunking him into the middle of that.

I agree it's not especially imaginative, though. It might've been more fun to play with this situation - have those "gay guys" worshipping at his feet, on their knees (no, not that way!) literally looking up to him, him walking over them, etc. Instead of making the picture an "oopsie" kind of awkward moment about him and his unfamiliar surroundings, make it the reverse. Then we'd know "Rolling Stone" was in on the joke about skewing the convention. We know here they're winking at the joke of local-gay-in-big-gay-world, but honestly, I think that's pretty played out.

^ Yes, but this isn't from Glee. This is from a Rolling Stone photo shoot.

Ok I see.

The only rule, as far as I am aware, is that the actor must be 18 at the time of the photo. Age of his character isn't so much an issue. As long as we are not sexualizing the character, but the actor himself (or herself, in some rare cases ;) )

I thought that myself.

Then I saw some pictures get pulled because the character was underage even though the actor playing the character was over 18.

But in this case, I'm probably mistaken as illgetbi pointed out.

I think it's hot.

I believe you're correct:

Ok folks, wrt whether a pic can be used in real or fakes here, as was previously explained the criteria are

1. The person pictured must be 18 or over at the time the picture was taken.

2. If the actor was over 18 but depicting an underaged character then pictures used here this would falls foul of US law.

See my posting in the Celeb Fakes thread here

Point 2 is due to the Supreme Court's interpretation of what "Virtual child" means in relation to a depiction of a character who is underaged and engaged in the act of a sexual nature in that role. Since JUB operates under US jurisdiction, it has to follow US Law and it's interpretation of that. See here as already mentioned in the above link.

Looks like the Motherlode bar in West Hollywood. Funny thing is most of the guys who look like that (fit, handsome hairy older) wouldn't be after someone like Colfer.

You guys are way too sensitive. I think the picture is great. Were I in Coffer's place I'd be angling to go home with the hairy-chested guy with the leather vest. Very hot.

Great art direction on the shot, but the character annoys the snot out of me.

Funny pic. But yeah, the message in the pic is kinda ambiguous.

Gangbanging on the little boy?

I mean, if he had a smirk or a smile or a grin but the look of horror?

This instantly popped into my mind when I saw Colfer's dead duck expression. He's like a closeted gay which went into the wrong bar and happened to sit next to a hungry pack.

Btw, here's the pics of article from the Rolling Stones about his interview:
