The Texas primary just gave Romney enough delegates (1159) to take him over the top for the nomination.

Yay -- or whatever.

Now, can we get both him and Obama to shut up until the conventions are over?

my support for Obama is softening, but its melted with Romney.

I would compare Romney to a carnival your parents dragged you to, you walk up to every booth and Mitt Romney runs all the games, sometimes you win something, but your still playing his game. Would make an excellent attack ad.

Obama needs to foreclose on Romneys positions, put a dead end sign on his path to a total plutocracy. Romneys anti-American pro-corporate rhetoric is destabilizing our country.

What anti-American rhetoric? Why is pro-corporate a bad thing?

I'm curious if Romney or Obama will ever actually talk about their own policies/plans or if this election will continue to exclusively be "he's worse than I am!"

Why would you be curious about that? I've never seen that happen. All you ever get is a skeleton outline and they flesh out the details after they ate elected. But since we as Americans are pussies, we will never demand that they do.

I have watched Mitt and he is afraid to answer any question with a direct answer...He only interviews with FOX...And his campaign cronies speak for him 99% of the time...I don't get him..

Romney is very uncomfortable with himself. He dares not take a position on anything because he does not think he can defend any position on anything. His discussion and debate skills are severely limited.

Sidney Barthwell (the only person ever to have been a classmate of both Mitt Romney and Barack Obama) says Romney is smart, but that Obama is "brilliant" and will "smoke" Romney in a debate. I think Romney knows this, also. As Abe Lincoln observed, "Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." Romney has done well to keep his mouth shut.

"Mitt Romney is smart,” he continued. “Having said all that, I still think he’s going to get smoked. The best he can do is hopefully come out not looking like a fool. Mitt will find out the hard way as soon as they have their first debate: You don’t debate Obama.”

Rexx do you feel he did a Stellar job when he debated Hillary? I thought she chewed him up and spit him out...She trained him to do battle with the old Man...

we will see won't we

I don't know Sidney but he's entitled to his opinion

He also said that Mittens was not anti-gay

I'm also very uncomfortable with Romney. That would mean that we have at least one thing in common. If I come up with another one, I'll get back to you.

you can be pro-gay and still be a bully. romney is unrestrained in his tactics, and that makes his policies dangerous.

Mitt's uncomfortable around any human being that is not stinkin' rich.

he can be but i don't think he is ....... a bully

and i'd say he's very "restrained" perhaps too - i imagine him being unable to take a shit sometimes actually

he should just let it fly ;)

Interesting... since Obama called Romney today, congratulated him on securing the nomination -- and said he's looking forward to debates.

This here. It's unfamiliar territory outside of the small circle of millionaires he's been with all his life and doesn't have a clue as to how the real world lives. He might as well have come from Mars to study human life forms.

I heard about that on Morning Joe... I assume it's required by etiquette, but that sounds like it must be one of the most awkward phone calls ever no matter which two people are involved.

"Congratulations! We're about to spend the next 6 months slandering each other and running hundreds of millions of dollars worth of negative ads against one another!"

I thought it was Obama drooling over the prospect of shafting Romney in debates.
