Romney "Steps in It" Again

Romney would make a great president. In addition to insulting ordinary Americans, he'll have the opportunity to say stupid and insulting things to foreign leaders and dignitaries.

You mean like BO referring to the Maldives in talking about the Falklands?

It's hard to put a lot of criticism on side-gaffs like this. However, that was pretty rude of Romney to say. Why would he even ask if the cookies came from 7-11?

I don't think this is such a big deal. Romney is definitely out of touch with the average American and has probably never stepped into a 7-11 Store, but this is just one of the many slips candidates make.

I'll bet this was the first time he's been on a picnic table in decades tho.

His audience was comprised of Republicans. When they brought up the subject of education, Mr. Romney was nonplussed. The cookies were of lesser importance. What this "meeting" shows is that Romney doesn't give a shit about anyone but his fat-cat buddies. What is scary is that virtually half the electorate will vote for him anyway. What's even more scary is that he might win! :help:

True.

And Romney doesn't really give a shit about anyone besides himself. His record proves it. He's only running for President because it's "his turn". He and the Missus admitted that. ....you know..... the one who hasn't worked a day in her life. (Other than order around the housekeeper, maids, cooks and nannies)

Dubya wanted to kick Hussein's ass because he humiliated his loser of a father. So Dubya went in and with the help of a few thousand lives and billions dollars he did just that. And now Mitzy wants to do what his father failed to do..... become President of the United States. Mitzy doesn't care about people, he cares about himself and money. Lots of money. It's a pride thing that we can't afford...... another rich republican trying to prove himself to his family.

We can't afford another republican in the White House.

^ This is the scary truth.

I would even feel better if he said he was running to support the aims of his crackpot religious cult.

But I don't get the sense that he's doing anything other than running because he feels entitled to be president.

The GOP can't talk about the whole education thing now because both Romney and Obama are Harvard alums.

Romney is unfortunately, part of the republican entitlement group. They are scary people...they believe they can do whatever they want, at the expense of everyone and everything else. I get to interact with these people every day, I live in Johnson County Kansas, part of the Kansas City metro, and they are in the majority here. I find Romney scary, not only because of his crackpot religion, but because, like Dubya, he doesnt strike me as the brightest bulb in the chandelier. As stated above, we cannot afford another term of Republican political bullshit!

Cookies from 7-Eleven?

OMG

brain freeze - sorta ditzy - i sorta like it - bizillionaire is really a ditz - humanizes him

then there's The Joker - who said while campaigning in Pennsylvania prior to his winning the WH

You go into some of these small towns in Pennsylvania, and like a lot of small towns in the Midwest, the jobs have been gone now for 25 years and nothing’s replaced them. And they fell through the Clinton administration, and the Bush administration, and each successive administration has said that somehow these communities are gonna regenerate and they have not. So it’s not surprising then that they get bitter, they cling to guns or religion or antipathy to people who aren’t like them or anti-immigrant sentiment or anti-trade sentiment as a way to explain their frustrations.

that's not ditzy or funny

it's outrageous

big diff

In one shot he insulted a bakery and he insulted convenience store workers and the people who buy things at convenience stores. He can never connect with the average working person. He looks uncomfortable whenever he is close with any of them. This is why he will not be our president. Unless of course drastic things happen in the next 6 months to turn the tables. He is supposed to show that he respects the people he wants to lead, not insult them or patronize them like he constantly does.

^ they're cookies

not people

and this is NOT why he will win or lose in November

that said ......... how are you?

Of course, how stupid of me. Cookies are not people, nor are bakery and convenience store workers. Corporations are people, I forgot.

I am well. Thanks for asking.

^ hehe

people who own guns and have religion in their lives are people too

and there's more of them than cookie lovers ;)
