Romney lost because he couldn't connect with enough voters and turned off too many with his broad brush comments and insincerity.
He might have been the best candidate to run for the Republicans but he wasn't good enough to push out Obama. Certainly couldn't convince enough Americans he would do a better job. He didn't deserve to win, and he didn't.

I agreed with Frothy Santorum, who said during the primaries, he thought Romney was the worst possible candidate. :=D:
 
There was a very long time in the middle there where it looked like Obama was facing defeat, but the good people prevailed. We got the right person re-elected, even if they are both corporatists.

That's a myth. Even at his high point, Romney was UNDER 1 in 3 chance of winning according to Silver. And considering that he got it all right, I would trust the guy.

Well, to be fair, I think Romney was the only real politician among that crowd of clowns. That he was also an evil plutocrat and not President material, doesn't really change that.
