It was a great speech for the moment, hiting the right notes, and will insure his election. Democrats should feel uncomfortable. How can they expect their bitter, divisive, hateful philosophy to compete?

Allstate? State Farm? Geico? ;)

:rotflmao: are you serious? dude is NOT going to win the election. i think that he's going to run out of steam in the next two months especially in those presidential debates. i honestly don't think that he'll be able to withstand the pressure in the next two months. i think he's good @ presenting himself as someone worthy to be a presidential candidate but he will flip flop hard as hell in the past month. that bain corp group of his will bite him in the ass. i think that that's the tip of the iceberg though.

In regard to your adjective selections, you haven't been paying attention the last four years. Although I don't doubt you are very familiar with those adjectives. You've consistently shown great command of them in this forum.

I dropped in on the Romney speech four times. Every time, he looked like a mannequin, which makes him hard to trust.

I didn't listen to the whole thing because Ryan showed that their campaign is built on lies, and I'm getting tired of lies. I already know enough about Romney: he rescued Bain by ripping off the taxpayers through blackmail of FDIC and the banks; he built Bain back up by ripping off the taxpayers by manipulation of the law; he continues to be active in Bain, by his own testimony, while lying to us that it's in a blind trust and that he retired when he ran the Olympics -- which was a success because he had teams of people working to milk every possible dollar from the federal government.

We don't need a rip-off artist for president... unless somehow he has a plan to get China to accept thirty cents on the dollar for our debt to them (the rate he used to rip off the taxpayers to save Bain).

.
nah, he's too rich and out of touch to be president.

" Co operations are people my friends " :##: they are clearly not. #-o

Alright, you got a chuckle out of me...

This speech ensures nothing. Its biggest success was that it wasn't a failure... I mean the bar was set pretty low. Mitt wasn't a complete robot which was a victory I suppose. The biggest failure across the speeches was the continual warmongering... I disagree with Republican positions regularly, but even from a purely political stance... what are they thinking? I simply do not buy that they are persuading ANY undecided voters with the McCain-esque fear-provoking rhetoric about our need to start several new wars.

I must confess I missed the speech due to conflict. Besides I get same thing said by the past nominees for past 50 years.

Insures?????

And you still want us to believe that you are an educated lawyer?

And you think that that speech ensures Romney a win?

Uh. I do not think so.

Playing hard to get didn't get Obama to sleep with you, and trying to get him jealous by going after Romney won't work either. Sorry, Benny.

US election 2012: Mitt Romney's convention speech fails to hit the spot as a rambling Clint Eastwood steals the show

But it was the turn from Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood that threatened to derail Romney's big night.
The 82-year-old he delivered a surreal and rambling speech in which he pretended to interview an invisible Barack Obama. It baffled the audience and sucked much of the attention away from Mr Romney's own prime time address.

What the fuck was the RNC thinking?

Or did Clint do this to sabotage Romney?

As well, most are saying that it was long on indictments of Obama, but very short on the details of his own plans and vision.

and....
"I mentored and supported great women leaders who went on to run great companies. I grew up in Detroit in love with cars and wanted to be a car guy, like my dad."

I think I found the reason the Op liked it. It had a number of really inept and clumsy non sequiturs.

Mitt hit it out of the park, he gave the speech of his life.

Wait...... I know!

Blue Cross and Blue Shield!

For someone incapable understanding the term ad hominem you should really consider posting something relevant once in a while. God you're boring, the worst sin of all.

Parroting everything Fox News says without question and basing your life around the half-baked philosophy of a selfish Russian bitch that couldn't write her way out of a phone booth is even worse.

Mika loved it

Morning Joe group giving it good grades

Liberals with more depth and reason than the riff raff here

The Rose !!!!

Mitt is a great person and he was able it appears to share more of who he is

I wasn't aware making us permanent second class citizens will help us on the path to economic recovery. Sorry but I'll be damned if I vote for someone who wants to make my upcoming wedding null and void permanently.
