Rosie O'Donnell and Kelly Rippa Get Into It On The View

To the first part,

Kelly is alot farther in life than you are, or probally will ever be. She may be that nim-wit or whatever else you see her as. Just think, she's got it.. you don't.

How is she further in life than me? Becuase she's got a TV show? this gives her a life?
Your telling everyone who watches T.V. they have no life,

no... I'm telling people who's lives revolve around watching TV.

oh, and Welcome to JUB.

I'm Soil.

you're REALLY going to hate me.(!)

OMG! I would not want Clay's hands touching my mouth.. germaphobe or not. Especially if you don't know him, he's a stranger to you. It's her show and she had the right to do whatver she wanted on her show. Rosie made it into a bigger deal and now it's a big mess. Clay is just left there, outed and with dirty hands.

This is not Rosie's first celebrity feud. She's had them with Star Jones, Kirstie Allie and several others. This would lead me to beleive she is the catalyst.
It's also not Kelly Ripa's first toe-to-toe with The View. A few years ago she called in to their show because they said something about her being a negligent mother. At that time she was on the AM show and doing a weekly sitcom plus commercials. However, The Views Meredith Vieira was doing her AM show and daily episodes of The Millionaire without any negative comments from her cohosts. Personally I don't feel either woman was wrong, in show biz, you have to take advantage of opportunities while you're "hot". Plus they could afford the best professional childcare/education possible.
If you're going to express negative comments or opinions over the airwaves, the person you're criticising has the right to challenge you.
Just for consideration, if Rosie were a guest on Oprah would she put her hans over Oprahs mouth?
There has always been a rivalry between the two shows. I wonder if the network honchos hate it or revel in it.

2nd Part,

Yeah you can have any opinion you want,

I wonder how long it took to make 12,000 posts on here. I've been with this site for maybe a month now and have only racked up 100 or so posts. 12,000

Your telling everyone who watches T.V. they have no life, well damn, I don't want to jump on a limb or anything but i'm gonna take a major guess and say you have spent a good amount of time these last few years, posting on this forum.

Sounds like you are kinda a stinker
#-o

I wonder if you find time to shower during all your "filming" / "Computering". :p

Dude...Do you have any idea how rude you sound??? Soil is entitled to his opinion same as you...but a direct attack on him is tacky and immature..

Cool it!!!!

Meh.

I'm used to it.

Kinda funny that although lots of people have opinions on this subject, I'm the one who attracts the most vitriol from the newbie.

And yes, I'll go out on a limb and say that shooting video of men jacking off is a lot more fun than watching TV.

I could be wrong.. I never do the latter.

(!)

i haven't been a rosie fan since i saw her in that S&M get-up in that movie which i can't remember the name of because the only image burned into my memory is her...
...now, if you will excuse me, i will step into the next room and vomit

rofl, the movie was Exit to Eden. And now I know why people dont like Rosie O'Donnell.

I don't watch Regis' show but from this clip and the others, Kelly Ripa strikes me as an ungracious person. She's very successful and wealthy, and in a position of power. While putting his hand on her mouth wasn't cool, Clay Aiken didn't do anything malicious or damaging to her. Aiken is way down the rungs of the ladder from Ripa and her behaving this way is just unkind and piling it on. She's behaving like a bully. She could diffuse the whole situation with a sliver of generosity but instead she keeps slamming this powerless guy. Like kicking a puppy who pooped on the carpet.

I'm no fan of Clay Aiken, I think he's icky, but he's a human being just trying to get along in the world like the rest of us. So he made a little mistake -- he didn't slur anybody, he didn't harm anybody, and yet Kelly Ripa and a lot of people here are slamming him as if he had an obscene disease and intentionally gave it to her.

And the nastiness towards Rosie O'Donnell on this forum bewilders me. Would one of you please tell me what horrendous things O'Donnell has said and done that compel you to "hate" her and call her names like "whore" and "fat bitch"?

I agree with everything you wrote. Everything. :=D: :=D:

Meanwhile, Kelly? Shut your fat mouth, you hypocrite!

WHAT'S GOOD FOR THE GOOSE IS GOOD FOR THE GANDER, SUGAH! Is that not your germ-ridden hand covering Regis's sparkly-clean mouth? Moron.

Thank You!! Kelly is a big hypocrite.

Just for the record, I DO shower. Twice a day.

I'm so OCD it's kinda freaky.

Holy Fuck, what an obnoxious cow.

I had no idea she was such a bitch.... Talk about whiney.

"When you're in the public eye, you have to be respectful" but talking about him like that is just fine. She's really blowing it out of proportion, and acting like she hasn't done anything even remotely wrong.

I'll give my 2 cents worth. First, Clay should'nt have put his hand over Kelly's mouth. It's the flu season. He doesn't know her well enough to be that familiar. Second, This drama should not have played out in public. If Kelly was that upset, she should have talked to Clay in private. Her overreaction to a minor event was ridiculous. Third, Rosie used poor judgement in calling Kelly homophobic. I don't think that Kelly meant anything homophobic when she said "I don't know where that hand's been."

Clay Gaykin shouldn't have put her hand over Kelly's mouth...that's extremely rude. You do something like that to your bratty kid, not to an adult you don't know on national television. And Rosie was acting every bit the drama queen that she is. But in reality, who cares? These are all third-rate celebrities.

No he hasn't, in fact he refuses to answer. Therefore Rosie's dubious accusation inadvertently (ahem) did the deed.
Nonsense.

Kathy Griffin outed Clay Aiken years ago, and talking about him being gay has been part of her act and public discourse in interviews and her TV show ever since.

Ok, first off, I'm not going to take sides on this one, but I cannot help but feel sympathy for Clay Aiken.

Come on guys, let's face it! People have been give this guy some pretty hard blows right and left. I've read cruel and nasty, and just plain hateful things that people say about him How would you feel if you were in his shoes? Hell, he says he's been on antidepressants since becoming famous, and I know all about depression. And from what I have read in most of these posts and that we are extremely unforgiving as a society. A person puts one foot wrong, and we are all ready to pounce on him, and hold it against them for the rest of their lives.

And as for Clay being suspected of being gay - may be he is - maybe he isn't. But if he is, you all know as well I do about the anxiety of coming to terms with discovering who you are and eventually getting up the balls to tell the world about it! The coming out expreience is different for everyone. You have to do it on your own terms.

I think Clay was nervous throughout the show, and when we're nervous it tends to make you do irrational things. It was new to him. I'm not saying he should have done what he did. But he just thought he was being funny - and when I watched the clip myself - thats exactly how I perceieved it! I think Kelly overdramatized things a bit when she told Regis about it the following Monday. She needs to let it die. I like Rosie - still like Rose, but I think her analysis of the whole matter was ridiculous, and it was even more ridiculous for Kelly to call the show, and bless her out for Rosie just simply stating her opinion. She has the right to do that.

I do not dislike any of the three parties involved. It's just people being people. We all make mistakes, and its been said a million times...we just need to all get along.
