RuPaul's Drag Race Season 6

Two ALL NEW episodes tonight! *|* Anyone else gagging? Yes, go-uuuh! Although that probably means no episode next week.

I'm TOTALLY gagging!!! Two new episodes back to back and two new Untuckeds back to back. That's three hours of drag!

These episodes changed how I thought of two queens. Final 3 could be interesting if it goes the way I think it will.

Wow! I missed the first episode and spent the duration of the next one trying to determine who "sashayed" away. Didn't realize until I watched the first episode that no one did. Btw who won the Black and White runway?

Gawd, did Laganja vote herself off? If you didn't watch UNTUCKED, you missed her implosion where she ran out of the Gold Bar after being pushed to the brink by Bianca and Adore. She was sobbing and saying, "I'm tired of this. I want to go home." Did this get back to RuPaul, who doesn't want any negativity associated with his show? And sure enough little Miss L.E. was sent packing shortly thereafter!

wow...let me start off by saying that I will MISS Laganja...

bitch was some kind of special, I'm tellin' ya.

That being said...these past two episodes really gave me some respect for Trinity. I'm so glad she's stepped her game up and "found herself", so to speak. I knew she had it in her to bring something fabulous to the table. I feel like working with Bianca during the commercial challenge REALLY helped her. I don't know what Bianca told her, but Trinity owes her big time. It's like after that challenge her entire vibe was like night and day. A-FUCKING-MAZING!!! Trinity really has it in her to be an exceptional queen...flawless...she just needs to keep trusting in herself and bringing that fierceness to the table. I want to see her in person now.

Also...Michelle's "critiques" of Ben seem so fucking random to me. It's like she just HAD to find something to pick on him about. Bitch is just mad Ben does her "look" better than she does. :dead: ;)

And an added gif, because the way Adore and Courtney exchanged glances during one of Laganja's speeches tickled me so:

Almost forget, Ben's stand up was cringe worthy. I had to walk out of the room I was so embarrassed for him.

Okayy hunties. I'll try and sum up the last two episodes.

Joslyn Foxx: That lip-sync on Episode 8 (Comedy Queens). Everything! I didn't think she was capable of pulling moves like that and I love the sassy expressions she made, totally matches her persona... so foxy. She went from 5mph to 40mph on my radar immediately! Now if Jossy-que can just fine tune what she sashays on the runway she'd be a contender for the top 3, but I believe it's never been this close of a race the way season 6 is! (gasp)

Trinity: Like Joslyn, I've always placed Trinity in my wildcard/so-so list. Her black and white runway, FABULOUS! I love her dynamic with Bianca, who knew she would be such a positive influence on this show (Bianca). Trinity's stand up comedy... wow, did she blow me away (good thing). I got so sick of hearing her excuses that it was refreshing to see what it was that Bianca and Ru saw in Trinity that most of us at home did not. Tyra Sanchez, who?! LOVE all the outfits Trinity has brought out. LOVE her fierce lip-syncs. It was just her personality, or lack thereof, that was making her unlikable but if she keeps this momentum of "positivity" up she will definitely make top 3 and give the other two queens a run for their money.

Derriene Lake: Like some of us have mentioned on this thread. BITTER. Been over her, nothing much else to say. :)

Laganja: Bye, mama. I really did like Laganja but I guess her insecurities got the best of her. I knew exactly what the queens kept telling her. That "Yes GO'UHH!", "Yes, mama!", "(tongue snap sound)", crap she did was just confusing. Like who is "Jay" and who is "Laganja"? She claimed, on the last untucked, that nobody told her it was annoying when Bianca has BEEN on her about it since day one. It's a shame she couldn't embrace Bianca's advice the way Trinity did.

Adore: Not a secret, one of my favorite queens this season but I'm afraid she's going to need to try a little harder as the competition gets "stiffer".

Courtney: Bleh on episode 7. Bleh on episode 8. Repeat that for the previous episodes. I did love her tuxedo outfit with the rainbow fish on a platter.

Ben de la Creme: I understand what Michelle is saying. As a viewer from home, we get to see Ben in and out of his drag persona but as a judge they only ever see "de la".

Bianca del Rio: TEAM BIANCA since day one. 2-3 reviews ago, I wished that she would be more vulnerable on the show as the episodes go on so others can see what her fans see and I'm glad her true colors are coming out. Love to hate her, hate to love her, but Bianca is the realest queen drag race has ever had. :)

I also have to add that I think the Black & White runway looks were some of the most stunning of this season. :luv:

I agree, except Joslyn's no tea no shade as much as I love her lol. Bianca's was cute "not from a sales rack" as she said. Trinity's, omg, when she walked out my jaw literally dropped.

At this point of the season I think think the final 2 will be BenDeLaCreme and Bianca Del Rio. The third spot is open for anyone to take. I think more likely it will be Adore Delano as a underdog but really has no chance of winning.

The most disappointing contestant this season has been Courtney Act. I thought she was going to bring it and I thought that she was a sure in for the final 3. She is all about the body and has been either safe or low most of the time. I think it's time for her to lip sync to see if she could get some fire back.

If Trinity K. Bonet could show the confidence like she has in these last 2 episodes for the rest of the season she could make it to the final 3. I was getting tired of her whining and wanted her to go but she has won me back.

I was really surprised they didn't eliminate Darienne or Ben. The lip synch while good, wasn't good enough imo to warrant them both to be safe. Sort of makes me think Ben is gonna win it. Darienne's look at the end though, priceless. Better than Alyssa's when Coco ever won a lip synch.

^I think Darienne and Bens' lip-sync being so "even" made it a hard sell for Ru to pick a favorite, and, personally, I see why she kept both rather than make one go home.

Laganja... pretty much gave up after episode 7. All that YES GOULLLLLLL and YES MAMA THEY CAN'T TAKE ME ghetto chick from the drag 'hood was a paper shield and it finally got burned down. Can't feel for her - it was borderline bipolar the way she switches from both different modes of "all eyes on me"... either she's feeling herself so much that she needs a vibrator and a cigarillo, or she's crying somewhere.

I'm glad that Bianca FINALLY broke into Trinity's damn head, because the last two challenges on look alone she was giving it her all, finally. She's still not without her excuses and shutdowns, but she better take Laganjas' elimination to heart if she wants to proceed.

Right now, my feelings are Darienne and Courtney will not last unless they change it up - Courtney especially(at LEAST she covered up some in episode 7!). Darienne can lip-sync for the GODS, but so could Coco Montrese, and it did not save her in the end.

Have only seen ep 7 + untucked. My thoughts so far:

Courtney & Joslyn: Bad strategy on Courtney's part to be shady towards one of the most likable queens, while constantly being underwhelming herself (although I'm not sure she realizes the latter). I thought she'd be top 3 for sure, now I'm not so sure anymore. Wouldn't it be delicious if they sent home Courtney before Joslyn, after this ep? But it's interesting to me in which cases self-confidence and shade come across as positive and "sassy", and when it comes across as unflattering, because I think there is a really fine line. (and, as likable as she is, Joslyn really needs to polish her look, while Courtney really served tonight.)

Bianca: Ok, I'm sold. Used to mostly dislike her while begrudegly aknowledging her talent. But she's really motherly, and clearly the one to beat. I still think she could soften her make-up, tho.

Trinity: Never thought she's turn it around, but she did. Impressive!

Adore: Talented, likable... j'adore!

Laganja: Tedious and fake.

Ben & Darienne: What the fuck is going on here? And there is definitely more shade coming from Darienne's side, I think... or Ben is more professional about it. Either way, Darienne didn't exactly come off great. Her look was strong, though, and her lip-synch tight. I'm glad they kept Ben as well, but the non-elimination would have felt less like producer manipulation if they'd been given a fiercer track to synch to.

I now think it's going to be between Bianca & Adore. Third spot goes to... Ben perhaps?
Traditionally, there's often one villain in the top 3, but Gia went home, Bianca isn't really a villain anymore, and Laganja isn't the kind of villain that lasts long.

What's interesting is that on Untucked the gals finally called Laganja on her fakeness, which she seemed stunned by. Then when Alyssa appeared on the screen, Laganja began verbally, clickin' poppin' etc as if everything they said was totally ignored. I think the affectation is part of who she is when she gets excited. A lot of gay men are like that so I'm surprised that these drag queens felt it was too much.

And I wonder about Bianca and Adore. Both said, they didn't want to isolate and paint Laganja into a corner but they both came for her in the Gold Bar. They could have done that off camera, but I think both knew she was vulnerable and this was a way to push her over the edge:

Call me crazy, but I actually found something endearing about Laganja. Maybe I see some of myself in her, I dunno.

I think Laganja thinks herself very clever and thinks she's playing the game really well: constantly creating drama, antagonizing other queens, showing "vulnerability" (in form of meltdowns), laying on the attitude thick, and trying really hard to be kooky/interesting/ dramatic/entertaining/whatever-keeps-the-cameras-on-me. Problem is, she's dim as fuck, so she doesn't know how she comes across, she doesn't realize that you don't stay on the show by being this tedious and exhausting. And she doesn't realize that "vulnerability" doesn't mean staging a contrived emotional meltdown.
