RuPaul's Drag Race (Season 8)

Chi Chi I think is this season's underdog. She is extremely resourceful in using the materials she has to make runway looks, has done pretty well aside from the 80s girl group challenge, and she knows what she is doing. She may be one of the younger queens but she knows how to turn things around when stuff happens and keep relatively calm which is a pretty useful skill. Naomi doesn't seem to have much of a chance since she hasn't shown very much variations to her runway looks. And most of her wigs are so plain looking aside from the roller girl look. She needs to show more initiative towards wanting to win, show more personality, and change her looks up every now and then. Instead of trying to constantly using bikinis and evening gowns, why not make some sort of jumpsuit that has fabric accessories sewn on it or adding flasher items on the looks that catches the eye such as a ruffle that goes down from the shoulder to the bottom of the outfit and forms the bottom hem?

So Robbie left and now I change my predictions. Top mourn are the same but now I think Naomi will be fifth if she continues to make outfits like tonight's and make each outfit completely different looking. It's about time she showed some drive to win. Derrick I think will go hone next but she will do something so different than what we've seen so far that she'll leave with a bang.

Naomi did with a completely different type of look. Her dress was quite nice and wasn't a two piece or as plain as it usually is. She finally showed a bit more of a drive to win and a personality after so long. All the queens are starting to target Bob because he won two challenges. Derrick deserved to be in the bottom two. Her outfit was one of the worst and why the heck did she add fairy wings to a Tin Man outfit? The Tin Man was a Munchkin cursed by a witch and he also was never said to have wings.
 
I knew it wasn't gonna' be easy to send Derrick home in a lip-sync. It'll take someone with much better dance moves to beat Derrick.
 
Derrick is an asshole...why just not admit that his outfit was shitty when he got called out for it by the other girls instead of trying to chi chi down....

and to do a hem on a squarepiece of a fabric is not science so he should come for chi chi... atleast chichi covered up her corset with fabric and made a dress instead of just spray painting and already made swimsuit and take a piece of fabric and use it as a wrap.....

thahts my problem with derrick he put himself waaay up there but he cant take the heat....

fine with robbie gone he deserved it

Derrick had the worst outfit ever. Nothing matched her theme or even felt metallic. I personally would have used a shiny lamé fabric, made a skirt that was angular on the sides sort of like Robecca Steam's Signature Outfit for those familiar with the Monster High dolls, and made a hair bow out of the same fabric and glued bolts and nut throughout the outfit. She got lucky this week from her moves lie Naomi did last week. I still don't get the fairy wing thingys at all.

I know most of you guys don't like Acid Betty, but you gotta admit, her runways were fabulous. From hair, outfit to make up, better than other queens. Oh, and she was so vile, it is good for reality TV. I kina surprise that Ru let her go that quickly...

Bottom 2 should be Bob and Derrick. Ru playing favor with Bob I guess.

Robbie kina deserve to go anyway.. She excused for all her flaws every time, she should admitted that was her weakness and working on it. Too late for her now...
 
You know what Chi Chi maybe this season's Adore thing about Adore's looks over the episodes. Bob bugs me but I do find him funny. Wasit me or did the reading segment feel very short don't get me wrong there were belters but no one fell flat a bit weird. Anyway I'm no expert on women's fashion or clothes but I agree with an earlier post there was nothing metallic about his dress that's what I would have taken from the tin man. Anyway if Robbie put in what he does lip synching into other things he'd probably be very good.
 
I'm just glad Naomi finally showed some initiative to stop being so dull and forgettable and put into so much effort into her Scarecrow look that it showed that she was willing to add details to her looks that make you want to look at her. Her red kimono was extremely plain that it was just a Victoria's Secret catalogue buy. That's it. No glitter, no accessories, and no details. Kim Chi's stood out for being the most traditional looking, Thorgy had great details, and Derrick's had Madonna's face on the sleeves. That was Derrick's best runway look by far. Naomi needed to kick her game into high gear and she did and it showed. Derrick is the only queen left who hasn't won a main challenge yet and I think she is going home next.
 
Well tonight was interesting. I thought Derrick did a great job with the main challenge. She definitely showed the best chemistry working with Bob and was willing to cooperate in the project. Derrick is sort of showing a bit of Jinkx right now in that the other didn't view her as much of a threat but she won a challenge when the rest mostly was expecting her to fail big time. I never thought Derrick wasn't talented and knew she would go far in the competition but not quite to top five. Naomi is showing more fire now that she won and is more interesting to watch. She doesn't seem so dull now. I still don't get why everyone is thinking Chi Chi isn't a threat. She knows how to turn the tables on bad situations well e.g. the first week when her outfit fell apart and she managed to make the remainder look so well that if you didn't see the disaster in the workroom, you'd never know that she had a problem. Plus she managed to fit last week's theme by being simple. All throughout The Wizard of Oz, Dorthy was a plain and simple farm girl with only the shoes making her special and noticeable. When she reaches the Emerald City, she gets a new look and her hair is more fashionable and eye catching. Derrick didn't even capture her character at all. Thorgy underestimated both Derrick and Chi Chi which was a huge mistake to make. You should never underestimate your competition because then you'll let your guard down and tend to not concentrate so much on winning. In martial arts tournament sparring, you need to expect your opponent's next move and know how to prevent them from scoring. Derrick's runway was amazing and she slowly climbed out of the Britney box and it showed that she was evolving. Thorgy's make up looked too much like a zombie and wasn't her best work at all. She made too many mistakes and most were with her being too confident that Chi Chi would get eliminated and not taking into consideration that all competition you have in anything has a chance of knocking you down when you least expect it. There is no such thing as a guarantee win when there are more than two people involved.
 
Sorry to see Thorgy leaving. I was hoping s/he could take advice based on the earlier feedback from the judges and show us that diva side of hers, which is the up most important part as being a drag queen, but no, there seem to exist none…Thorgy was too much Thorgy just like Acid was too much Acid. Well, at least two of my favs are still on the run, Chi Chi and Naomi, so there’s something to look forward. Bob doesn’t scare me that much anymore, but s/he’s got that ugly face, which I cannot stand. Kim is of course great with the makeup and fabrics but that’s about it. And what about Derrick then? S/he’s like some weird stain, that won’t go away no matter what…like a bug or something. So, I guess s/he has that right attitude for this competition and judges like that. But I sure do hope that in next episode Derrick will go away! And finally, now that I had to gave up Thorgy in this competition, I’ll say The Top 3 is (not in any order) Chi Chi, Bob, Naomi!
 
Thorgy underestimated Derrick and Chi Chi big time and let her guard down and was acting like "Those two are no threat and I think I won't work hard and try to make sure I stay on top." The team challenge was proof of this. It wasn't so much she had all these ideas and she couldn't filter them down to a small list as it was Thorgy never took into consideration the determination factor which is quite fierce when turned on. Chi Chi had already shown that she wasn't going home that easily without a fight and she definitely fought harder during the lip sync. Thorgy just didn't seem to have energy during the lip sync and seemed to have been asleep during the Chi Chi/ Nayasha lips sync battle where Chi Chi pulled out gymnastic skills. Thorgy had great energy and creativity but she had an issue in being over confident and letting her guard down. Bob is still doing so well mainly because she never let down her guard and sees everyone still as a threat no matter how much less talented and threatening they seemed. She never forgot that all the queens were still in the competition for a reason. Bob recognizes the others as being very talented and knows that she needs to stay in guard at all times now in order to survive u til the top three. I think either Derrick or Naomi may go next but I still think top three will be Kim, Chi Chi, and Bob.
 
Chi Chi was about to go home, until that lip sync. I think it has to be on my top 10 of all time. She slayed Thorgy.
 
That's what I mean. Thorgy looked like she wasn't giving it her all just because she didn't see Chi Chi as a legitimate threat and was like "Oh I can win so easy. I don't need to go hard because she's a pushover." It takes only one well timed hit to take someone down which is why in a competition like this you need to stay on your guard.
 
there is no reason to watch the show anymore. Bob is the winner. all the threats and competition are gone. the show started out hard and went flaccid halfway through. Naomi and Derrick are sub par snooze fest. neither have done anything other than forgettable the whole season. Kim Chi and Chi Chi are good but one can't pull together a fierce look and the other couldn't win a lip synch against a wet paper bag. Chi Chi is one of my faves, but she is going home next. or Naomi. but, i am feeling Chi Chi is going to be on the block. Bob, Derrick, and Kim are going to be top 3.
