I see tammy Brown out and about in L.A. Nice and sweet guy. There is something about Shannel in drag that bugs. I dont know, he kinda looks like a hard new jersey broad. Nina Flowers scares me a bit. I'm rooting for Ongina. He seems like a sweet guy.

Yea! I have been watching it. My fav to win is the oriental guy. Don't know any of their names.

I thought it was sad, but funny how the one guy said Oprah was his hero so he thought he would win that challenge and did horrible.

I also love the one where the one guy didn't even stand up when he interviewed Torri Spelling and her husband.

We also love the show.

I've always hated reality shows. Mainly because of that word "reality". If you're getting people to swap wives or hand out roses to the people you've decided you're still interested in marrying, you're already a LONG way away from reality.

But that's why this show is different. It's drag queens. Drag queens ARE artifice. Make-believe and fantasy are what they do. And the "challenges" play to that extremely well. Making up each other's faces, trying to make butch women into glamorous girls...all this is precisely what they do. :)

I did think Ongina was going all the way. I'm shocked to see she didn't. I was also sad to see Victoria leave in the first episode - I liked the idea of a larger, older drag queen competing along with them. That said, it's a very fun show. There's not as much bitchiness or cattiness as you'd expect. Just a bunch of people determined to do what they do, well. And despite the pressures, a lot of them appear to be having fun with it all. I do fear that Season Two won't have the same "freshness", and we'll see more manufactured "drama".
