Oh look, it's a billboard for Rush Limbaugh featuring a bunch of bullet holes. This billboard is located in Tucson, Arizona. We blame the liberal media, somehow. [Reddit via Copyranter]

UPDATE: A reporter in Arizona tells us, "KNST tells me they took that billboard down at 9:30 a.m. Monday morning." Not quite quick enough to beat the internet.

I wonder where people get the idea that right wing rhetoric is full of gun imagery?
 
It is like when Rush was victimized by someone getting him addicted to drugs.
 
It was a Clear Channel owned billboard. Clear Channel, owned by some right-wing millionaires in San Antonio, now owns over 900 radio stations from coast-to-coast meaning everyone is saturated with Rush, Beck, Savage, etc. and making the FEC airways (supported by ALL of us) 90% conservative. Clear Channel tried to ruin the Dixie Chick's career by blacklisting the singing group after one member said she was embarrassed that George W. Bush is a Texan.

1 - i don't see anything "wrong" with the billboard - Rush is a "straight shooter" - he shoots from the hip right? opinions, etc.

I wouldn't have chosen this but I'm not the marketing head at clear channel

2 - I would doubt that Rush knew anything of it - prior to it going up - sort of out of his domain - his job is to opine on the radio

the only real problem is the timing and the location - gives them a black eye for sure

but taking issue with rush for this - as opposed to his views

is lame

Thank you. Finally someone who likes the Dixie Chicks and how they were blacklisted because Natalie Maines was embarrassed because asshole Bush was a Texan. Me too. My station here still won't play their music. That's alright. I have em all anyway. The music, that is.:badgrin:

No,Rush is NOT a straight shooter.He is a lying,bloviating sack of shit..I not only take issue with the sign,but I take issues with his lame politics.

"Lame" is too weak a word for his politics. It suggests something of substance that is nevertheless lacking.

I suggest "revolting", "rancid" -- "reactionary" being all too obvious,
 
Right after the JFK assassination, the U.S. Postal Service was going to release a commemorative stamp honoring Sam Houston. Unfortunately, Mr. Houston was holding a rifle. Needless to say, the USPS delayed the stamp's release because it was thought of as being in bad taste. How times have changed! :mad:
