I heard a report that Russia is stopping exports of gasoline "to help stabilize prices". I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the fact that gas prices at the pump jumped fifty cents per gallon here last week.

A source from Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has confirmed that Sergei Kotov, a Russian Project 22160 patrol ship, had been hit by Ukrainian naval drones on the night of 5 March.

Apparently the ship is seriously damaged or sunk.

Those sea drones would be even more devastating if they dove just before exploding. Above the water, most of the force of an explosion is wasted in the air, but underwater the force is far more concentrated due to the water pressure.
In fact given the payload these drones have if they could dive to twenty meters and explode against a bridge pylon any regular pylon would be at the very least significantly weakened. The Kerch bridge has over-engineered pylons due to the sea bottom being unstable, so it may be less subject to such damage.

But it wouldn't surprise me if the Ukrainians devise a larger model specifically for hitting the bridge -- and if they could give the drones enough range, they could start hitting ships in the harbor at Novorossiysk along with destroying harbor facilities -- it's only another 120km.

If Ukraine has drones with this range that can remain undetected, then they have a much greater reach than imagined. This plant is in central south rrrZZZia and must be located in an area producing war materiel. Otherwise, what interest would Ukrine have in destroyed the power plant?
