Russian Invasion of Ukraine

One just hopes that it doesn't spark contagion among because of the strong core of petro-wealth propping up the Empire.

Certainly Venezuela still seems to keep limping along.

The key here is Chyna and India. (And Turkey) They are currently still pouring in all the cash. The more difficult and expensive the West makes it for them, the more wobbly the oligarch controlled economy becomes.

Well, that's going to piss off Vladimir. If I were Zelensky, I'd immediately default and cost Russia 50 billion.

Just kidding, I'm sure someone has already told them no to that.
The reality is that it is structured as forgiveable.

And it has to hurt Putin's oligarchs to know that this is literally money that has been siphoned from their bank accounts.

But again...50 billion is chump change at this point. It has to reach the point where the muscovites are boiling their wallpaper to get the flour paste for cooking. Until then, their party will just go on. Financed by debt to China that they can't pay.

Well, as the domestic fuel supply gets sold to China and India, the trucks will stop running, and the Vodka will stop flowing.

Amajority of Republicans joined with Democrats on Thursday to vote down Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s (R-Ga.) amendment to the annual Defense bill that called for preventing any funds in the legislation from going toward assistance for Ukraine...

Well, you can't say Putin didn't get value for whatever he paid to the Mouth.

The Kremlin continues the assault on Kharkiv Oblast and makes negligible gains in the east...Ukraine continues to also hit targets in Crimea and Rostov.

Poland is considering shutting its border with Belarus, further isolating that country and squeezing Rzzzn export capability through those checkpoints.

They should all head back across the Kerch Bridge while they can.

The military target above the unrestricted beach.

Twitter is just saturated with the Kremlinbots screaming about the attack and 'murder' of civilians. Surprising silent though on the missile attacks in Kharkiv that killed civilians yesterday.

I saw on the TV that some spokestroll for the Kremlin was threatening to "arm North Korea" as retaliation for giving Ukraine mid-range missiles and letting them use them on Russia. Apparently, that came from Putin.

I do think it's funny, though, that Russia is threatening to retaliate by giving NK back the arms they gave to Russia,

Do they not know they are in a war zone?
Crimean rrrZZZnz are a breed apart.

The western Rxxnz who occupy the peninsula and the ones who vacation there are likely largely oblivious as to what is really happening, other than what they may or may not know about strikes in Sevastopol.

Rzzznz across the board are largely untouched and unaffected by bombing raids since Ukraine has almost solely targeted military installations. In this case, the KRemlin likely figured a human shield policy would work....but no one must have got the message that if you shoot down a missile overhead of civilians, the pieces will fall on the innocent instead of the targets. Certainly Ukraine has seen this over and over again.

Ukraine needs to make Crimea so unsavoury for imported RRxxxnz that its tourist economy will also collapse.

It is like the Kremlin doesn't even care a bit...but Dagestan does and the peasants being used as cannon fodder arer starting to revolt even more.

Every day, Putin feeds more and more rrrZZZnz into the meat grinder to make incremental gains....he would spend the entire population to try to wear down the west into giving him the territory he lusts for.

It is safe to say that Ukraine has indeed become a frozen conflict. And the west will give in....pretending that the long game matters more and that the Kremlin will stop once they have the Donbas and Crimea secured and recognized as RF territory.

He might wish to spend the entire population but he sure is reticent to do so, full mobilization appears to be a bridge too far.

For an autocrat he acts like he is slightly afraid of the population and while it’s true the west gives the Ukraine just enough not to loose Putin gives just enough so that Russia won’t loose.

Right now I think he’s hoping Trump wins and the Americans pull out which is the Trump plan.

I think it was a bad look to attack so close to a crowed beach. Ukraine after all tries to portray how much better they are. They could have taken out the military equipment at night.

It is interesting that equipment supply no longer seems an issue for rrrZZZia, in part because they are now focussing their push while hardening the defensive line behind the front.

There don't seem to be indications that there is a lot of new equipment being produced so most of it must be being moved from other defense positions across rrrxxzzsha.

Pretty much the plot of the British miniseries, "Undeclared War"...

Ukraine has foiled an alleged plot to overthrow the government that “would have played into Russia’s hands,” security officials in the war-torn country said Monday.

In a Te le gram post, the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) claimed the alleged coup organizers planned to trigger a riot in Kyiv on June 30 as a distraction to seize control of the Ukrainian parliament and remove the military and political leadership from power...

According to Ukraine’s Prosecutor General’s Office, the alleged coup leader rented a hall with a capacity of 2,000 people and recruited military personnel and armed guards from private companies to “carry out the seizure” of parliament. It is unclear if prosecutors are seeking any more suspects.

The Kremlin won't give up on this.

They are determined to seize Ukraine one way or another. And Moldova too.

And Hungary. And other east european countries as well.

And of course they are almost all the way there with the US ...

At 1000 to 1300 troop losses each day, the Kremlin seems to be losing the chance for a real intiative in their summer offensive. The Kherson front push is not working out very well, with Ukraine retaking area lost to rrrzzznz last month. Now in the countdown to 600K vatniks either dead or injured for the oligarchs.

We now have Bulgaria offering to step in and try to broker peace for Putin; he lacks any other country with legitimacy or standing to make overtures for him now.
