And they are getting more nervous every day on the Kerch bridge...they've moved the Pantsir system....
I have to hope that when Ukraine attempts to destroy the bridge this time that they figure out how to permanently disable the train tracks as well as the road bed...

So, apparently Russian soldiers running around Kursk for whatever reason are being clocked by Russian intersection cameras and then temporarily jailed for speeding or forced to pay exorbitant fines by the Russian gubmint.

Not reassuring, but pretty logical as the Kremlin strips out the future economic health of its empire.
Russia's "economy of death" could allow it to continue the war for another 5-6 years, according to Le Monde. The publication analyzes three growth factors: massive spending on the military industry, salaries for contract soldiers, and payments to families of the deceased. They note that the death of a Russian soldier brings more financial benefit to their family—up to 11 million rubles—than if the soldier were alive, creating an economic "bubble" that sustains the war.

I’m not sure I understand the 11million ruble thing. Is Le Monde saying that money is going back into the economy so it will keep moving along? Whatever they are saying they seem to be ignoring the meaning of the dead soldier to his family especially if he was an only child.
Given the Russian need to import weapons to sustain Putin’s war 5-6 seems a generous amount of time for them to last.

Actually not. Rzzzia is exhausting its resources and all its reserves to fight this war, gambling on winning all the natural resources of the Donbas and the Azov to balance the books. They are frantically stripping everything they can from the Donbas at this point but are confident that when the conflict is declared 'Frozen'. they get to keep all this territory and the minerla wealth it contains.
Ukraine on the other hand is fighting to retain its grain. Not nearly as lucrative as the minerals.
But as long as it has the grain and the ability to export, it can survive.
Sadly, It doesn't seem as though Ukraine will retake Kherson and Zaphorizhia south of the Dnipro. And the western world will let rrrzzzian oligarchs control the oil and gas reserves of the Azov and Black Sea.

The initiative of surprise is now past...but Ua is still looking to expand its control over southern Kurst region by going around Koronevo and blockading it.
Daring move. If they can cut the train lines and road to Rylsk effectively, it could take out Koronevo as a base of ops for rrrzzia and force them westwards.

Photos shaw an ice stadium hit by a Rzzan KAB bomb and Rxxxjhnn military correspondents openly state that the entire city will soon be wiped off the map.
Atleast it is their population and their towns that now bear the brunt of their thuggery.

Yesterday, a fierce fire broke out at the Russian government administration building about 3 km from the Kremlin, on the Berezhkovskaya embankment of the Moscow River. Ships and helicopters are participating in extinguishing the fire.Authorities say more than 110 firefighters are battling the blaze. They have 35 pieces of firefighting equipment and a boat to assist. So far, there are no reports of damage, nor is it known what caused the fire.

In return for rrrZZAZia increasing its bombing of Kharkiv, UA is shelling and using UAV's to target sites in Belgorod, just to the northeast. This city has largely escaped anything like the people in Kharkiv have had to endure for the last 2 years...time to intensify the onslaught.
The more that the war is brought into rzzzia, perhaps pressure will increase on the Kremlin from within these regions.

It seems like it was only a little while ago that the number stood at 600K. Putin is completely downplaying the incursion into Kursk...as he likely can do with ease without the rest of Rzzha becoming concerned. He is also now trying to re-cast the narrative of the war again. But still central is that taking all the Donbas is essential to prevent western military structures from being placed there.
I don't know why they just don't up and own it. The purpose of taking the Donbas is mineral wealth, and the reason for seizing the southern Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions is to control, the oil and gas in the Azov and the Black Seas. That wealth is what props up the oligarchs and by virtue of that, the Kremlin and Putin.

In the last two days, UA has secured the area around Pogrebki and is said to be in control of the area within the dotted line to the east. The more control that UA has of the main roadway to Lgov to the north, the more difficult it will be for rrzzzn forces to mount an effective counter-attack. It also shortens the front, which allows more concentration of forces to push further.

As UA adds to its controlled territory in Kursk, the Kremlin keeps up a bombardment of missiles and drones. While the takedown rate is good, the new tactic is to fire them into areas that don't have as robust air defenses.

Iran has denied allegations of supplying ballistic missiles to Russia.
