Fox has announced that Ryan Seacrest will be the host for their Emmy telecast next month.

Thoughts????

Does this guy ever sleep??? Doesn't he have, like, a million shows he's host of??
 
I think they could've gotten someone with more personality to host.

I won't be watching them if I have to endure him
 
I would have preferred Ellen, but I like Ryan.
He's not hard to look at and I think he has the personality to pull it off.
I guess they thought he did a good job of hosting the Emmy pre award show and decided to gave him the big job
I wonder if he will do a better job than Conan O’Brien did last year.
Ryan is going to have a busy year cause he will also be doing the Super Bowl XLII pregame show in February
Of course I suppose he will also do Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve.

I agree that he's getting too much exposure. Does Hollywood have a shortage of ambiguously gay hosts?
 
If there is any indication that the entertainment industry is going to shit, then this is it.
Why would Ryan Seacrest be suitable to host a show that has been hosted by the likes of Conan O'Brian, Ellen Degeneres and Garry Shandling?!
Ryan Seacrest is not a comedian. Hell, he isn't even funny. He works for E News for fucks sake.

And he's hosting the Superbowl too!? Something tells me this pansy man can't even name a football team. He has no business being the host of anything sports related. Or an awards show that awards excellence in TV.

I would like to know what dirt he has on FOX that they allow him to host things that he has no business hosting.

Hopefully in ten or fifteen years when VH1 does a 'I Love the 00's' he'll be a hasbeen that all the mediocre stand-ups all look back on and make fun of.
The mans a walking joke. He's a egomaniacal, pampered narcissistic pussy who wants to be the next Dick Clark. He's best known for hosting a mediocre talent show that produces mediocre singers. He's the epitome of all thats wrong with Hollywood.
 
Sorry, I'm confused.. is he hosting THE Emmys.. or Fox's coverage of the Emmys ?
 
First off, don't hate people, just because he isn't who you'd prefer do it. It's just pathetic to flame someone for getting alot of good TV jobs, it's like flaming someone who wins a promotion over you.

Second, I congratulate him on the many well paying and high exposure jobs, he's gotta be doing something right. Whether what he is doing is high ranking people or working his ass off, I'm not sure.

Third, the guy is obviously a good host, otherwise they wouldn't keep him on at American Idol. And the fact that he also hosts other shows sort of proves it.

To completely reiterate what I said. Don't hate, congratulate, and if you like the Emmy's, watch it anyway, cause the host is only part of it.
 
I'll congratulate whoever I feel deserves it.
Its one thing to be positive about things, but its another thing to pretend someone has talent and kiss their ass.

That was a real surprise to me as well. Receiving a star like that very fast.

But FOX is really in love with this guy. He's hosting the Super Bowl 42 activities, and now he has the Emmy gig. Next thing you know.. he will be hosting the freaking Oscars(if it was broadcast on FOX, he would already be the host).

If it helps eliviate(sp?) your mind...you aren't "given" a star on the walk of fame...you BUY one...I think you're invited at first (but then again I think practically everyone with a SAG card and enough money gets an invitation)

But I thought it was interesting that the actor/personality Buys the star instead of being "given" one
 
OMG, I had no idea so many guys disliked Ryan:eek:
I just think he would be a hell-of-a-lot of fun to hang with and maybe even:sex:
