Sacry movies you wacthed as a kid that scared you shitless.

like others said Unsolved Mysteries scared the shit out of me..would never watch it alone. but the movie that scared me and got nightmares from was the Lost Boys.......the part where one of the vampires bites a bald dude on the head.....

Arachnophobia
scared me shitless :bartshock

whats funny is i too was scared of this movie but the weirdest thing is after watching it i went to go take a shower and there was a spider in the tube. not only that there were alot of spiders outside, especially tarantulas

The first was The Birds, then later on was the Exorcist! I can't watch scarey movies anymore, I did get through Saw, but couldn'd get through Saw 2. Even the music scares me.

As a child I was afraid of Tim Curry as clown Pennywise in "Stephen King's It".

How did I not know that?!?!?!?! Pennywise scare the living shit out of me as a kid!!

That, and the remake of the Exorcist that came out a couple years ago. Especially when she comes in the house, and the lights are flickering, and you see the devil's face above the stove.

OK, now I'm not going to bed.

I was scared shitless by watching Bram Stoker's Dracula and The 2nd Exorcist movie with all the Locusts. Thats what did it for me.

What scared me shitless was The Night of the Living Dead, the remade one. I saw that one when I was about 10 or 11...Oh Jesus I was afraid to sleep, the thought of dead people getting up and walking around was almost too much for me!

As for IT, I read the book before I saw the movie. The book is much, much scarier...

OMG I just remembered another one!! I used to freak the fuck out whenever Michael Jackson's "Thriller" video came on tv too! Damn, I used to be so scared of that! I guess I have issues with zombies...

also Exorcist III in the beginning when the wind opens the churchs doors and you see the eyes of Jesus open..........just got the chills thinking of it

Someone made me watch Nightmare on Elm St when I was four and it traumatised me. It's laughable now but when you're four?! Fuck that.

The original Amytiville Horror...that was a scary movie...and supposedly based on fact....

And as someone else mentioned...poltergeist... our stupid teachers in grade 7 got it out for us to watch on the last day of school - grades 5,6,7 watched it...lol there were a few scared 12 year olds running around...I'll bet that bright spark teacher gotta stern talking too....;)

Freddy was always worth a good scare in the beginning too.

Is it just me or are there no good horror movies any more???

Effortless_Pro got mine. Gremlins scared me so bad. I had nightmares for weeks. Nightmare on Elm Street, Friday the 13th, etc, didn't have much effect on me. Gremlins, though.. bleeeh.

Is it just me or are there no good horror movies any more???

As of late, I liked High Tension and The Descent.

Even as I child I found this movie boring as hell. But I really liked the remake.

Gremlins scared me so bad. I had nightmares for weeks.

I love the scene when the mother is on the attic an the Christmas record begins to play. And just how she defends herself in the kitchen afterwards...
I still can't stop laughing when this scene comes.

As of late, I liked High Tension and The Descent.

I would have named the same movies. :D

Regarding 'It'.... the first 30 minutes scares the crap out of me everytime. After that, it just gets silly.

Salems Lot : The young boy is awakened by his dead friend scratching at the window. Scared the living shit out of me.

Its Alive: Dead baby hand sticking out of baby carriage. terrified me.

Exorcist :enough said.

Two on a Guillotine. 1965. Connie Stevens and Dean Jones. I was terrified, but I couldn't stop watching. I saw it recently and couldn't believe how bad it was, still loved it though.
