Sacry movies you wacthed as a kid that scared you shitless.

Thank god! Everyone I know makes fun of me for that. Whats worse the theme, really get's under my skin.

Awww, I wanted to put Gizmo in my pocket!

Now when they got wet - THAT'S a whole 'nother story. *shudders*

1. ALIEN - scared the crap out of me as my older brother made me watch it when I was little. Looking back on it now it sort of still gives me the chills because you never truly see the Alien until the last minute of the film, so the whole time your scared and thinking all these crazy things that actually scare you more than the actual alien itself.

2. UNSOLVED MYSTERIES - This show's music sent chills down my spine and made me wary from the get go, and some of the stories that were truly horrifying made my hair stand on end. The ones that really freaked me out were the alien abduction cases and the unsolved abduction cases - just seeing those grey little football alien heads and their cold faces, coupled with the knowlege that someone out there may be a vicious killer just waiting to snap.....Ugh, I'm a pussy sometimes.

3. IT - Admittedly the book is better than the film, but the film did scare the shit out of me regardless.

I remember watching Labyrinth as a kid and being terrified of it. The first time I saw Signs I was alone and couldn't sleep the whole night, the aliens scared the crap out of me. I love scary movies though, and think I've seen every single one.

my mom is a huge horror movie buff and she'd watch scary movies with me when i was little. likewhen i was five years old.

It and Poltergeist: the clowns scared the crap out of me. after seeing it, i had to take my autograph of bozo down, cause it scared me.

Night of the Living Dead still terrifies me. When i was little i'd hide in the car if we went to the cemetary.

Oh, and the birds. although only seeing the guy with his eyes poked out scared me.

I don't know why. The Ring scared me a little the first time I saw it. Mostly because that same night, I came home and my computer screen kept making all these noises that sounded like somone was moving it or possibly trying to get out of it, lol.

damn, I fell asleep the first time I was watching that (was really tired) and when I woke up half way through the movie my friends had all left and I was alone in the room with the tv, the house empty, and the wind howling outside. I was too scared to even move

too many lol , i saw scream when i was 9 , and i made sure for a while that i was never alone so that the killer couldnt get me. I also had trouble putting my feet on the floor next to my bed , i always thought something would grab me. Also the toilet in my house is in its own little halway and you have to pass in this hall the laundry and the bathroom, i always thought someone would jump me and kill me :P seems silly now though lol

Hellraiser 2 or 3...the one with the insane asylum.....and "house on haunted hill".....hellraiser was just plain disturbing...the bloody/sex/pain thing and chatter box...UGH

Insane asylums freak me out PERIOD let alone haunted ones

Am so with you on that one, House on the Haunted hill did my head in!! Hellraiser 2 was the one with the insane asylum in it.

Predator scared me shitless. Ok, so I was 5 at the time and at a sleepover, saw it fairly recently and I was like, oh, thats not that bad.

Dreamcatcher was freaky, but the book was much worse than the movie was. My mental images of the shitweasels was worse than the movie version.

I'm probably the only one whose never seen The Exorcist or It. I HAVE seen part of It and we own The Exorcist. I'd probably laugh if I watched them today although I'm sure they had to be quite scary for you all.

LOL that's great you mention Scream--that scared me pretty bad too. I saw that one at 9 or 10 as well (I saw a lot of movies I should'nt have seen before my time--don't we all?)

And Unsolved Mysteries...most movies cease to scare me after I've seen them enough, but this show has NEVER failed to creep me out no matter how many times I see it. It's now one of my favorite shows for that very reason. I think for me the worst part is when they show those sketches of the criminals. I hate that lol!

This threads quite amusing in the way that everyone feels differently about horror films. some laugh till they cry when someone looses a limb, others cry in a corner for days.
Mine would have to be Jaws i think that has scarred most people for life.
