She wrote on Twitter, "i recorded this song B4 vickileekx and never put it out. its a unfinished demo." She added, "R.I.P A.M.Y."

On the Soundcloud page, M.I.A. wrote that the track is "dedicated to all my friends that died at 27."

Sorry if this has already been posted (I couldn't get through ever page of this thread) but as someone who grew up super close to his grandmother and than having her pass away (its been 11 years) this song just totally captures what I feel about my grandmom. Heck before my grandmom passed I used to hear this song and cry just thinking about the day she would be gone.
