The saddest song I've ever heard is also the most haunting little gem to come out of the 1980's.

'til tuesday's completely heartbreaking song about self-realization, "Coming Up Close."

I agree with many of these..so, i'm gonna post one that hasn't been mention yet!
It is country.."I Miss You A Little" by John Michael Montgomery..he wrote this song for his father.It truly is a sad,sad song..:cry:
