  • Hi Guest - Did you know?
Hot Topics is a Safe for Work (SFW) forum.

Saint Louis. Another mass school shooting.

Then why the hell did he have access to a firearm??
Are you seriously asking this question? It's a daily mantra in America: MORE GUNS! GUNS EVERYWHERE! YOU GET A GUN AND YOU GET A GUN AND YOU GET GUN! LOOK UNDER YOUR CHAAAAAAAAAAIRS EVERYBODY GETS A GUN! WAIT, DO YOU NOT HAVE A GUN? YOU CAN HAVE ONE OF MINE!

Our nation is on a path to keep a date with doom. The endless mass shootings are but a symptom, the greater evil being the arrogance that is an American distinctive.

We call it freedom, but unbending arrogance is more like it. And when crossed, the end result is murder.

this is what happens when "hateful" becomes an entire personality type, when the suffering of others tastes like candy to people who are wholly incapable of compassion or empathy. Despite the romantic fairy tales about his this country was founded, it was born under bloodshed and violence has always been an integral part of our heritage as Americans. We glorify it, we crave it, we beg for reasons to hate someone else which is always the first step towards violence against someone else. We enthusiastically express this hatred inspiring others to take it a step further. It won't change in our lifetime, we aren't even taking any steps to change it ie investing in mental healthcare, diverting resources to communities that need them and there are lots of conversations we aren't having about the demographics involved because people would be offended. So we sweep more corpses under the rug.

None of you seem very concern about the surnames or/and skin color or/and social status of the dead.

He had an AR-15 with 600 rounds of ammunition. He left a note that read: “I don’t have any friends, I don’t have any family,” it read. “I’ve never had a girlfriend. I’ve never had a social life. I’ve been an isolated loner my entire life. This was the perfect storm for a mass shooter.

His family had already taken a gun away from him. Where he got this AR-15 is still being investigated by ATF.

This story from the St. Louis Paper today; (it might be paywalled, not sure, but here is the link anyway):
Family of man accused in St. Louis school shooting removed his gun from home, police say

But the availability of military style assault combat weapons isn't the problem. Is it? [End-Sarcasm]

... or a religious wacko: mass doomer. He chose the narrower way.

The ammosexuals will never part with their guns. The next most plausible solution is all clothing needs to be made bullet proof.

Fortunately, all the other injuries in this incident are not life-threatening and everyone is expected to be fine, at least physically.

What we do know at this point is the shooter 19-year-old Orlando Harris, who was black, graduated last year from this school and had a mental health history.
15-year-old black female student Alexandria Bell was killed. She was into art and dance.
61-year-old white female teacher Jean Kuczka was killed. The paper is reporting she stood between the gunman and her students.

My current Missouri House Rep Lakeysha Frazier Bosley had Jean Kuczka as a teacher and wrote a nice FB post speaking highly of her.

No motive is known yet.

Police arrived on the scene within 4 minutes. After arrival, the gunman was taken down with 10 minutes. Police are receiving high praise for the way this situation was handled. It could have been far worse. He had 10 magazines of ammunition on him, they said on local news.

Apparently, you can't (or I don't know how to) put in a direct link to post #16 with the new software. Quoting and trying again.
