Well almost.
She just released a brand new single titled "One Dream." It will be the main theme song in the upcoming Winter Olympics Games (used in commercials, promotions and whatnot). Fitting that they chose Sarah because she lives in Vancouver, BC, Canada where the games are taking place.
You can listen to the song for a limited time in the link below as it comes out officially in 3 days (tuesday Sept. 29th).

In other news, she has been working on brand new material for the past year and a half and her new album is expected to drop in April/Spring 2010! That's 7 years since the last studio album. She has managed to release a holiday album, a couple of commemorative re-releases of live material, a rarities album, and 2 new songs on her greatest hits album Closer, released a year ago.
Next year will also see the resurrection of the all-female music festival Lilith Fair, which generated a few million dollars for various charities/causes in the late 90s.
Good for Sarah though. I probably won't be attending Lilith, but I'm ready for a full-fledged Sarah tour, which will probably happen about a year from now-- enough time to start saving money!
