Sarah Palin screws up AGAIN

(for the record... pot is illegal because William Randolph Hearst, a conservative businessman and newspaper owner, was losing too much money to his pulp and papermill business. So he started a campaign against pot and pressured politicians to make it illegal. It was totally fine to smoke until the 20s.)

And he garnered the sentiment of a racist american public with news "documentaries" that villified weed as making the negro crazy....

Now that is twice as nutso as a Michael Moore "documentary" or anything called cable news in America these days...

Of course I wonder since one is so easy to blatantly see it is rubbish and the newer version are more subtle...is that simply perception? Are we ignorant in our beliefs? Will future generation wonder what the fuck we were thinking to keep such inane beliefs going without question?

I sure fucking hope so.

You need to do some re-reading. Hearst was a Democrat and a big time FDR supporter. He was a Democratic Congressman from New York and even ran on the Democratic ticket for Governor and of NY.

Yes I know. And 90 years ago, the Democratic Party was quite conservative (you'll notice I didn't say he was a Republican. He wasn't.).

The Republican Party used to be a more liberal party. They were, you might know, the party that gave us Abraham Lincoln. They reinvented themselves as a conservative party... later.

Hey Bob, the guy who said the comment in the microphone was later fired :=D:

I like how you literally just make up numbers :^o

I would still like to know your source info about "the guy" (when it's clear there were a few in the stream) that was fired. Just quoted the "literally just make up numbers" part because I am wondering if you are guilty of the same or just misinformed by another source.

Of course he just made that up.

He makes up most of the stuff he posts, hoping nobody will check facts. When called on it, he pretends he didn't see that post.

He still hasn't really addressed being called on claiming that "kicking people out of the military was Bill Clinton's idea" or how the Texas "homosexual conduct" laws had "nothing to do with gays."

Okay, I'll bite the shit thrown by the NY queen who is a fan of Palin, and believe that she is good and shit.

But, how anyone in their sane mind would vote for a

Quitter?????

I mean, when things got rough, she quit????? What shit is that????? Doesn't her fans think that if she is President, things won't get rough?????

Ghost writers? How petty. Do you really believe Obama sat down and wrote his two books?

Yes, so did Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Perhaps you are too young to remember, when our two Senators were Democrat Daniel Patrick Moynihan and Republican Alfonse D'Amato. People used to say that Moynihan wrote more books than D'Amato read.

One of the tragic things about the current Republican Party is how they have appealed to people's ignorance and drummed intellectuals out of the party. I may not have agreed with Republicans like Gingrich and others at that time, but at least they were animated by ideas based on the thought, research and policy ideas of intellectuals.

Ah yes, John McCain, the "American patroit".

He's the definition of the American sleazy politician.

The Keating Five Savings & Loan scandal which the bailout cost the American taxpayer $3.4 billion. McCain tried to get the government off the back of Keating’s failing corrupt Lincoln Savings and Loan, because McCain really wants to get government off the backs of his corrupt millionaire friends. He also got caught having a big lobbyist fund-raising deluxe luxury fancy party in 2000. So he ran and hid like a little girl. Lobbyists control his entire miserable, corrupt life.

And his personal life: His first wife Carol was injured in an automobile accident and while still married to Carol, McCain began an adulterous relationship with Cindy. He married Cindy Lou Hensley, heiress to Phoenix-based Hensley & Co., the nation's second-largest Anheuser-Busch distributor in May 1980 -- just a month after dumping Carol and securing a divorce. McCain followed his millionaire wife back to Arizona where her father helped catapult McCain into politics. All funded with alcohol money.

Baby Nancy Reagan (remember her, the astrologist's customer?) was pissed off at McCain for divorcing Carol because she was a close friend of the Reagans. Baby Nancy hasn't spoken to him since that happened.

This is just naming a couple of his misdeeds. But then this is a typical Republican politician. Pure sleaze.

You failed to mention his time as a POW. He violated the Code of Conduct several times, and altho he was tortured, he changed that to a comfortable life while there. When he got out he worked to stop relatives from getting their heroes released. Everybody needs to read this:

SEN. JOHN McCAIN: THE ULTIMATE "RHINESTONE HERO"
Part II

McCain continuously violates the Code of Conduct

In direct violation of the Code of Conduct, McCain, who was supposedly in solitary confinement, met with and was interviewed by several foreign news reporters and political delegations, including many high-ranking North Vietnamese leaders, such as Gen. Vo Nguyen Giap, North Vietnam's Minister of Defense and national hero.
And Sarah will come to help him further his career anytime he wants. Even if she screws it up.
Yes, keeping her in the news is a great source of comedy.

You fools can't harm Palin.

She was given a protective charm against witches.

Uh........Huh?..........What?
I'm Texan and I haven't seen this. I would sure like to know about that homosexual conduct.

There are two things:

1. The anti gay laws in Texas that were rendered unconstitutional by the supreme court a few years ago;

2. The platform of the Texas Republican party that declares its position that gay sex be illegal. This of course is a platform, not a law, and the court decision makes it moot anyway.

Maybe the Texas GOP wants to make gay sex illegal only if heterosexuals engage in it. (!)

We were talking about the new Texan GOP platform which includes jail time for people who perform gay marriages and felony charges for sodomy. It's rekindling the laws that were struck down in Texas in 2003.

Laika insisted that the new Texan GOP platform with punishments for sodomy had "nothing to do with gays" when it's just a re-boot to the now-struck down "Homosexual Conduct" laws that were deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court.

And nothing to do with Republicans either.

Apparently Jasun and Jones think there's goes to be a Gestapo lurking outside of our walls waiting to hear moaning and groaning

Doesn't have to be the Gestapo. How do you think Bowers v. Hardwick and Lawrence v. Texas made it to the SCOTUS? I'll tell you. Those cases made it there because police officers entered the home of gay men who were engaged in sex, for which they were arrested.

Well sadly.. that's not far from the truth.

In the case of Lawrence v Texas, they were arrested for having consensual sex in the privacy of THEIR OWN BEDROOM when an officer entered the apartment WITH A WEAPON DRAWN and arrested them for having sex.

They were in jail for 24 hours.

That was in 1998.

And you know why the officer entered the apartment? Because neighbours heard them "moaning and groaning" and called the police.

When reading Laika's posts, I'm reminded of Benjamin Franklin's quote, "It is better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt."

Since he's my favorite founding father, I think of the same quote when i see yours! How bizarre
