Sarah Palin signs on as a commentator with Fox News

Mrs Palin has growing popularity among US conservatives

Former Governor of Alaska Sarah Palin has signed to be a contributor on the Fox News Channel, her lawyer has said.

Mrs Palin, who ran for the post of vice-president during the 2008 election on a Republican ticket, stepped down as Alaska governor in July 2009.

It's her right to do so. I dont think a campaign is the right place to judge people 'cos there's so much pressure coming from all sides. It was obvious she wasn't prepared to it in 2008.

I'm not a big fan of her ideas (in France, she would be considered as far-far-right !) but I'm looking forward to listening to what she has to say. Like it or not, you don't become Governor by being completely stupid.

She joins a lot of other commentators on FOX NEWS -- many who are Democrats and liberals.

You'd be surprised! Is one stupid to quit before completing his/her term as governor? Either way, they can all sit there and call Obama racist and sing "death penal" day in and night.

I can't think of a more appropriate role for her. I can't wait to see how well she reads from a teleprompter.

This will make her lies fit right in with the program. The need to make the network Comedy Uptown!

Why do I feel as though this, not the presidency, is what she's been aiming for all along?

… and this will bring to an end any bid [Sarah Palin] may have had for the 2012 Republican nomination for president of the United States.

Looking good, Mitt Romney!

"I am thrilled to be joining the great talent and management team at Fox News," Mrs Palin said in a statement on the network's website.
"It's wonderful to be part of a place that so values fair and balanced news."

Well her degree is in journalism I believe. Better she's on the F-Word network than in the White House.

Whew, I thought we'd have to worry about her running for President again. A media commentator job is not going to get her nominated.

It makes Fox News even more annoying and distasteful in the months to come; however, it's good news to know this is the peak of where she's going to go.

Sarah can see Brit Hume from her desk...

The former Gov should have a fun time. And anything that keeps Palin away from the White House is fine with me. I don't watch Fox. I'll watch Tina instead.

Although...give her a year and she'll just resign again...
