Sarah Palin takes Fox News job

By all accounts she's a nasty, vindictive, superficial woman...

Actually this makes me want to watch FOX news. I'll need a shot glass and some vodka. I could get pretty drunk depending on how much she says "maverick".

Really should be "Up in Alaska," "Alaskan values," and "you know!" for the drinking game, I'd be blacked out in 10 minutes into her show.

She really needs to stop wearing blush like it's 1991!

Katie Couric was asking Palin what experience she had in foreign policy, and she was trying to tell them how Alaska monitors Russia, since they're only about 50 miles apart. The truth is, there are territorial islands that lie between Alaska and Russia that are only a few miles apart, and Alaska monitors those also.

But what foreign policy experience did Obama have?
Did anyone ever ask him?
Well, we've seen a few examples of his foreign policy.

Obama Foreign Policy

Sources say Obama was hoping to persuade the king to be ready to show reciprocal gestures to Israel, which Washington has been pushing to halt settlements with the goal of advancing regional peace and the creation of a Palestinian state.

"The more time goes by, the more the Saudi meeting was a watershed event," said the former U.S. official who recently traveled to Riyadh. "It was the first time that President Obama as a senator, candidate, or president was not able to get almost anything or any movement using his personal power of persuasion."

The former official said that Ross has told associates that Obama was "upset" about the meeting "because he got nothing out of it."

All that bowing and scraping for nothing...

http://blogs.abcnews.com/politicalp...self-president-obama-cites-his-golf-game.html

Last year, in his first interview with Russian media, President Obama was asked, "What don't you like about yourself?"

The president responded, "I have been playing golf lately, and I don't like my golf swing."

The entire economy is crashing into the toilet and all he can think about is golf swing?

And when the underwear bomber was trying to blow up a plane over Detroit, Obama played golf and basketball, went snorkeling and to the gym, and ate at his favorite Honolulu restaurant. His wife and children went to the beach and entertained friends from Chicago.

As this Politico story notes, the Christmas Day bombing plot has shaken the Obama administration and his supporters, leaving the latter flummoxed. They can’t seem to understand the president’s clueless reaction, which verged on peevish resentment over the interruption to his vacation:

Over the course of five days, Obama’s reaction ranged from low-keyed to reassuring to, finally, a vow to find out what went wrong. The episode was a baffling, unforced error in presidential symbolism, hardly a small part of the presidency, and the moment at which yet another of the old political maxims that Obama had sought to transcend – the Democrats’ vulnerability on national security – reasserted itself.

Holy shit I thought this was about Sarah Pallin getting a gig on a cable TV station not a pictorial about Obama.
Reminds me of how the right wingers will answer a question on the local TV news channel blog.
The question can read "Is this the coldest weather you've ever been in while living in Florida"
The tea-baggers and crusted seniors get on and start blasting Obama about security and global warming and being a socialist or communist ,... anything to get off the question.#-o

I was resonding to post #27 - didn't you see that?
Or did you just skip right over it?

I think she can see the Canadian embassy and perhaps the White House from the Fox News building in DC.....

I think she'd have to go to Dupont Circle area to see Russia and some of the other embassies....

It's her right to do so. I dont think a campaign is the right place to judge people 'cos there's so much pressure coming from all sides. It was obvious she wasn't prepared to it in 2008.

I'm not a big fan of her ideas (in France, she would be considered as far-far-right !) but I'm looking forward to listening to what she has to say. Like it or not, you don't become Governor by being completely stupid.

No, you become governor by running on a platform to kick out the current bastards...

and give every household another grand a year in free money.

… and this will bring to an end any bid [Sarah Palin] may have had for the 2012 Republican nomination for president of the United States...

you say that like it's a bad thing. :p

Signing on as a Cable-News Commentator would help Sarah but she's not running in 2012..By 2012 her bank account will be running-over with cash and being the Opportunist that she is, she will have so many projects bringing in the cash..

Do you really think Mitt (With his Good-Looking self) is going to run again in 2012? He spent over $50 millon of his own money in 2009...Can his bank-account take another blow like that? The majority of Christians will not run to the polls and vote for a "Mormon"....

If Mitt converts to Christianity like he flip-flopped over issues in the past then maybe he'll have a shot

Whoever raises the most cash heading into primary season is likely to win the Republican nomination. Mitt Romney looks better than all 2008 also-rans on the GOP side. For now. (Consider that they're in habit of anointing runners-ups: 1980 Reagan lost the 1976 nom to Ford; 1996 Dole didn't win an earlier primary but was the 1976 v.p. on the Ford ticket; 2008 McCain lost the 2000 nom to Bush.) As for the issues, like with his flip-flops, if Romney were to win the nomination, because he was best at raising campaign money, Obama can landslide the fuck out of him in the general to the tune an electoral vote victory well in the 400s.

The post you linked is about Mrs Palin in a video and teleprompters...

You were responding to the Obama reference in the quote. At least get the right post before hijiacking

Uh, excuse me, but if you'll look again at Post #27,
you'll see that there's a BIG square there
with a video in the middle of it. If you play the video and listen,
you'll hear Katie Couric asking Sarah Palin about her foreign policy experience.
The OP of #27 was making fun of Sarah Palin's response.
Yet, no one ever asked questions about Obama's foreign policy experience.
That's what I was referring to in Post #30.

you say that like it's a bad thing. :p

I picture a massive landslide against the GOP in 2012. (With exception of Woodrow Wilson, all two-term presidents increased in margin of victory and electoral votes in their re-elections; and, yes, I predict Obama will be a two-termer.) Palin was well-suited to getting this to materialize. So that's the only sorrow in all this.

Why? Did you fart?

You've just show why it's so difficult - and futile - to have civilized political discussions in these forums. When all else fails, just insult each other into silence. Juvenile remarks like that only serve to hinder any rational discussions till all you have left is a rabble of milk-snorting goofballs.
