The very first thing I noticed about Palin when she was announced as the running mate for McCain was that she lacked class. It does not surprise me that members of her family lack class, too.

I'm fairly sure that it can't. It's amazing how much support she gets, and there's a huuuuuuge subsection of the population that's too much of a fail to even notice the misspellings, and probably agrees with the slurs. They'll sympathize with Mama Palin for being held to account for her kids behavior, since their own kids are probably unruly little vandals themselves and such behavior probably seems perfectly normal to them. Not necessarily acceptable, but you know, kids...what can you do?

But in my heart I believe that even though it's a huge subsection, it's nothing close to a majority, and even a good portion of people that agree with her in principle know there's a difference when it comes to being able to run a country. I hope.

And for those who say the kids should be off limits... unlike many other political figures, Sarah Palin is the one pushing her kids into the media spotlight. Therefore, if they do stuff like this, then we have a right to call not only them but her on it as well.
