Sarah Silverman At the VMA's

I think the repeated use of the word "cunt" in this thread is a far bigger problem that what one one professional said about another professional.

Bunch of hateful people posting in this thread in vile language about another human being while supposedly being upset about one professional entertainer said about another professional entertainer.

She called her kids "mistakes" and made fun of her "hairless vagina".
Vile right? I thought so. And inbetween her jokes she was always like "wow", "amazing" and shit, like she didnt know what to say next. She makes Dane Cook look much less lame compared to her. Kathy Griffin should teach Silverman some class and when to not cross the line!

Oh, please.

Kathy Griffin makes fun of Celine Dion's husband, Renee, raping Celine when she was 13, and she's the one who should teach people 'class' ?

Take a deep breath, people.

They are JOKES.

Ms. Spear's kids are way too young to understand anything said about them. No one takes these comments seriously except a handful of people.

Both Kathy and Sarah are very funny people, if you know how to take them the right way.

Silverman hit the nail on the head. Mind you, we're not talking about the Pope here. Its Britney Spears. She drives with her kids on her lap, puts soda in their bottles, makes them wear white strips, keeps them up till 11pm so she can sleep in the next day and calls them, "mistakes." Spears is the kind of person we pay these comedians to exploit. I kinda like seeing Spear kicked down a peg or two.

Someone is a tabloid junkie. None of that is prove true except the sitting in the lap.

MTV likes Sarah Silverman because young hipsters like her. They like her because she dresses like a boy and wear's Converse shoes.

But I do think she's pretty funny. Funnier than that frat-guy moron Dane Cook.

Her comedy offends. Its what she aims to do. She's funny and she offends people. But because she is a comedian she can get away with it and people know she's really just kidding.
If a non-comedian came out on stage and started to make fun of Britney, it would have been offensive, but since Sarah Silverman is a comedian and it was part of her act, I didn't get offended.

I suppose some people find empathy to be rather pathetic. That or they never had the capacity of spirit to feel it.

Then have empathy for the millions of starving people in the world.

Not some has-been who, judging from her VMA performance, looks rather well fed.

Lisa Lampanelli...now there is an insult comic that can do it right. Sarah Silverman is as funny to watch as hr lame ass boyfriend/husband (whatever the hell he is) Jimmy Kimmell. They both suck.

She's ugly. She's not funny. She's classless. She's got an annoying voice. She should just go away.

OH leave Britney Alone.

Seriously... That story about how Britney heard her back stage is 200% bullshit. It's Britney Spears trying to blame someone else for being fat, talentless and tired.

Sarah Silverman is hilarious and if Britney Spears doesn't want people making fun of her, maybe she should wear underwear and drink less.

Good of you to make that distinction now. Or is having empathy for millions of starving strangers sad and pathetic too?

And no, Sarah Silverman isn't funny. I love comedians whose humor is meant to offend. Lisa Lampanelli, Margaret Cho...

And yet Sarah's show and her stand up was hardly funny. It wasn't offensive. It was just un-funny. It's been done before, and when it was, it was done a whole lot better. I felt like ever line she said on that show should have been followed by a "Wahhh wuuhh..." and a tilt of the head, shrug of the shoulders and some cathartic "Oh you..."

Boring.

ITs the VMA's its suppose to suck. I think Silverman can be a hoot in a half, but really the VMA's isn't her audience. She plays well when its the a general public audience, but of course shes going to as not funny when the crowd is the celebrities that she makes fun of.

If you have seen her act, honestly she went easy on Brit.

I thought it was funny, not as good or deserving as the other Paris jokes but still funny. And Im sure Britney would have sucked anyway. It was supposed to be the HUGE comeback we're all waiting for...

Well, humor is subjective. I thought Sarah was the best thing at the entire awards (although that's not saying much). I thought her Britney stuff was meh, but I laughed at pretty much laughed at everything else she said. I think Sarah and Kathy Griffin are great. Margaret Cho I think has become too political. I never really got Lisa Lampanelli, but to each their own.

Yeah, she's had a horrible year, but I think a lot of it is her own fault. She could've handled so many things so much better.

And from what I hear, the "mistake" thing was quoted from Brtiney in a Star magazine article. As in she's called her own children "mistakes" when she got mad at them -- which should teach you to never be a bitch to the people who watch your kids, because it will come back to get you. So I think maybe Sarah made the joke because she knew it was said before.
Britney cannot make good decisions but that seems to be a lack of judgement steaming from something else and not just stupidity. I don't think she's right in the head anymore so the jokes seem very tasteless to me.

I mean, she shaved her head and went psycho JUST a few months ago. Give her a break before you make the most personal jokes about her and her kids.

I know what cover you're talking about that and it wasn't a quote from a nanny. It was just a tabloid with "unnamed sources". Basically BS.

That sounds like a tabloid advertisement. Soda in their bottles? Right.

Did Kathy do it at an award show on national television? No. 'Nuff said.

Seriously, I was watching this with 4 other people and we were like WTF is she doing?! Nothing at ALL was funny or even close. She disgusts me about what she said about her kids. Ugh..

I didnt like her at all. No, it was not funny. Yes, it ws insulting. Thats the point? Well thats not my idea of entertaiment. I dont get how nowadays people get to talk like that and be considered comedians. Gosh.

Admittedly, I love Sarah Silverman. Grant it, you never go "there" with someone's kids(because the babies cannot defend themselves). But Sarah's act was hilarious because everything she said was true. lol. Someone needs to do an intervention on Britney, seriously. She looked more like a Jerry Springer guest than a pop diva. Furthermore, she should throw in the towel on the career(so much for going down in a blaze of glory, eh?) and raise her kids(she has enough money to retire). Or let K-Fed raise them while she goes to rehab or something.
